Our submission process

We like to see unsolicited queries that are concise, well-written, and professionally edited. Gimmicks don't work. Let your writing speak for itself. We are looking for non-fiction, general fiction, and juvenile fiction books.

In your query email, briefly tell us about yourself, describe your project in a summary paragraph, and tell us whether you have submitted this project to other agents and publishers. In the body of the email, please include a synopsis of the work (under 1,000 words) and the first chapter. Do not send attachments. We will not open them. If we are interested in your work, we will request more information from you. To get your foot in our door, provide a professional submission. Plain and simple works for us. Don't send photographs.

We do not agree to publishing contracts based on non-fiction book proposals. Complete the work before you send us a query.

Juvenile fiction manuscripts should be at least 30,000 words in length. We do not publish picture books.

Please be patient. We get many queries every day, and we do read them all, but it takes time. We will respond to most query emails within six to eight weeks. If you don't hear from us within that time frame, chances are we did not receive your email. Feel free to resend it.

If we request additional chapters or a complete manuscript, again be patient. Do not email us trying to determine where we are in the process. We will definitely get back to you one way or another. If you do not hear from us within two months' time, you can check in and make sure we've received your materials. We are not legally responsible for your materials.

Please adhere to the above guidelines to help us respond to you in a timely manner. We look forward to hearing from you.

Please email your submission to our Publishing Analyst, Adam Lee, at this email address: submissions@lasariacreative.com

Our editing services

For months, you've worked on your manuscript and it's finally complete. Is it interesting? Will anyone like it? Is it ready to be published? Does it need more work?

You can't edit your own manuscript. It's like cutting your own hair - a bad idea. You need a fresh set of eyes to examine your book in explicit detail and provide you with honest feedback. Our editors can give you a new perspective on your writing.

We understand the process of developing a unique story and the importance of creating believable characters. All of our editors are also writers. We know what you've gone through to get to this point. Let us help you cross the finish line with a clean manuscript. We offer two types of editing services ...

Copy Editing Services

The Lasaria Creative Copy Editing Services will correct errors in spelling, grammar, and punctuation in your manuscript. The price is $2.00 per double-spaced page (approximately 250 words).

We focus on the "Five Cs" of copy editing. Your manuscript must be; (i) clear, (ii) correct, (iii) concise, (iv) comprehensible, and (v) consistent in order to enhance its overall presentation.

Our suggestions will be embedded as comments and tracked changes in your electronic file. Manuscripts must be submitted in the Microsoft Word format with a .doc file extension. The file will then be returned to you and you can either accept or reject each suggestion.

Content Editing Services

The Lasaria Creative Content Editing Services provide extensive restructuring for manuscripts that need extra attention. The price is $3.00 per double-spaced page (approximately 250 words).

For fiction manuscripts, we will examine critical elements such as premise, plot, pace, characterization, dialogue, setting, and timeline. We will also evaluate your grammar, punctuation, style, and word choice. In addition, we will appraise the manuscript's readability and marketability.

For nonfiction works, we will analyze the content, organization, author's credibility, and target readership. Our editors will assess your grammar, punctuation, style, and word choice. To be marketable, your non-fiction manuscript must be concise and readable.

We will evaluate your manuscript at the paragraph, chapter, and book levels. Our suggestions will be embedded as comments and tracked changes in your electronic file. Manuscripts must be submitted in the Microsoft Word format with a .doc file extension.

The file will then be returned to you accompanied by a Lasaria Creative Manuscript Analysis. This analysis will provide you with a summarized evaluation of the work and our recommendations.

Almost all of the manuscripts we read need to be professionally edited. Utilizing our editing services will significantly increase your chances of getting published because we can help your work meet our publishing standards.

Virtually Incredible

What happens when virtual reality becomes reality?

Frito Bowles, Darcy Gordon, Jim Sanderson, and Sammi Twitchell are four middle school kids who are looking for adventure!

The construction of a new virtual reality gaming facility in an abandoned warehouse provides a common interest to forge an unusual friendship between them. Frito, an impulsive bundle of energy, Darcy, a nature lover, Jim, an intellectual with a bit of a temper, and Sammi, a slender tomboy, somehow manage to get along despite a rather rocky beginning.

It seems to take forever until the gaming place, Virtually Incredible, finally opens for business with Frito and friends first in line to experience the adventures. But the computerized games are nothing compared to what they find deep within the old warehouse!

Besides being a maniac who walks basically everywhere, often 40-plus miles a week, Suzanne Grace bakes decadently addictive brownies, paints in oils, and sometimes dresses up in medieval clothing. She loves to write, and has been writing since age twelve. Her literary endeavors have ranged from pun-filled poetry to musical melodrama, and now her scribblings venture into a new genre as her first book, Virtually Incredible, is released upon an unsuspecting public!
