Teaching younger sailors and newcomers sailing is easy on the Laser 2000 dinghy. The Laser 2000 boat steers easily and provides excellent handling largely because its sail and rig controls are easy to adjust. It is hand built using a GRP Foam Sandwich, making it a lighter and stronger boat than if fibreglass had been used. This in turn makes the Laser 2000 much easier to manage for younger sailors, even in high winds.
With a capacity for up to 3 sailors, the Laser 2000 has ample space for the family's sailing equipment sailing and due to the custom made trailer the boat is easily towed behind a small family car. Launching the Laser 2000 is also incredibly straightforward for adult and teenage sailors alike. Due to the quality of the materials used to make the boat, it retains a high resale value.

The hull's design not only makes sailing fun and relaxing but also means that the boat can be left on moorings unattended. This dinghy handles reassuringly and is easy to prepare for sailing using its lightweight trolley that's perfectly balanced for launching with the minimum of difficulty; sailing can be underway within 30 minutes of arrival at the launch site making for an efficient sailing experience. If you've kept the dinghy at the sailing club with the mast up, then launch time can be reduced to within 10 minutes. Towing the Laser Stratos boat is also easy and can be achieved comfortably with a family car. The Laser Stratos holds 1-6 people.
