WEP Laser Printers

Many of us wouldn't have heard the name of WEP brand in laser printers. When it comes to laser printer reviews, the reviewers and testers try to give the best products for the customers. Till now, I too didn't know too much about WEP. But I want a laser printer for myself and this made me go deeper.

WEP in India:

WEP is short for Wipro e Peripherals. WEP was established in 2000, almost ten years ago. Since then it has made a lot of profit in the hardware segment, especially printers and scanners. At the moment, there are only two models available on their website for "laser printer" category. These two are:

1. WEP 9530 DN Laser
2. WEP 1600+ Laser

Both of these printers have got very tough competition from HP, Canon, Brother and Dell in the local market. One good thing for the customers about 1600+ is that it can be refilled. So, you can get more out of it by refilling the cartridge again and again. While in the updated laser printers of HP, you can't refill the ink. So, you need not to "waste" your money on expensive cartridge even if it's like a newer one and can be used by refilling.

The other better thing is 1200x1200 dpi resolution. At such a smaller cost, it's very good quality. Also 1600+ run about 5.5K which is not bad. I was thinking about the time we waste in changing the pages, supplying the inputs or any other manual work in this relation and found that for most of the laser printers, the average remains the same. So, considering all these issues, I have no hesitation at saying that WEP 1600+ is really a good laser printer at Rs. 5750.
