I got one of these last year because i wanted a powerful heat unit in a little package, little footprint, to use in my bathroom, because the built in heat unit eliminate. It's ideal for heat a little area like that. Then i got another one for my bedroom, it's quiet, powerful, and little, it fit into a little room near the bed. Then, i got a third one for the family area. The family area is a large area, and i use the heat unit like a little fireplace place, it really pumps out the warm. It's not going to warm the whole family area, but seated next to it feels like seated next to a little fireplace for comfort, very pleasant, not too hot when close to it, just a awesome powerful comfort. In the family area, the program doesn't do that well heat the lower part of the area on a freezing night, the warm rises and it can be set on a warm and still be freezing where we sit, so we use these heaters to warm up our room, awesome source of warm, very portable, lightweight, sturdy. No complaints, it's ideal for what i use it for.

I am maintaining this Lasko heating unit in the family area. I have purchased another heating unit for my 8' x 10' invitee room, the Optimus H-5210 Home Quarta movement Glowing Heater available here on Amazon. The Optimus is almost subtle, and requires a bit more time to warm a area that has a threshold fan (from 60 levels, it requires a several time to truly warm the area up to 70 degrees), and that's good with me.
