Every day people pay vastly different prices for exactly the same rooms in Las Vegas hotels.
When you stay in a hotel in Vegas you want to get the best deal you can, even if you are staying at a luxury hotel. This gives you more money to spend on the attractions and shows or to play with at the gaming tables.
Here are some useful tips to help you save on your booking:
1. Shop Around - Sounds obvious but well worth the effort. Spend half an hour or so looking for the best price you can find online. Also contact the hotel directly, sometimes they can offer you the best deal.
2. Avoid Weekends - If you are going for a short trip avoid staying in Vegas on a Friday or Saturday night. The hotel prices are much higher on these 2 days.
3. Avoid Conventions - Vegas host many of the largest conventions in the US. Try to avoid staying at a hotel when they have a large convention on, with a higher level of bookings they charge a higher rate to customers.

Where to stay - Downtown or The Strip?
If you are planning a trip to Las Vegas you will need to choose where you are going to stay - Downtown or on The Strip.Downtown does have some real character and it is slightly cheaper than The Strip in general. You will also find the best odds in town for certain games and lower minimum bet limits.
However the hotels and casinos are much less impressive than those on The Strip and they are also very smokey.
I would recommend staying on The Strip to anyone visiting Vegas. The whole atmosphere is much better and there are so many great sights to see. It is a little more expensive but keep an eye out for coupons and offers, you can get some cheap deals on almost everything.
If you are on a budget try an get a room at either the Stratosphere or the Shara. These are both good hotels with quite reasonable prices. They are at the top of The Strip but they are both near a monorail stop. Jump on and you can be in the center of the action in a couple of minutes.

Save Money On Vegas Shows And Attractions
Las Vegas has a wide variety of shows on offer ranging from world famous singers to elegant acrobatics. Most of the major hotels also have attractions available for guests and visitors alike. These attractions take many different forms. Some are wildlife based and some are rides, my personal favourite is the Star Trek experience at the Hilton hotel - great fun!However these shows and attractions can be expensive. Do not worry though, like many things in Vegas you can get a discount if you know where to look.
Near the World of Coke on The Strip, which stands out due to the giant Coke bottle, is a ticket office. Here they sell tickets for shows and attractions at discount prices, in many cases you can get 50% off. They may not always have tickets for the show you want to see but they do have a wide selection. This is one of THE best Las Vegas money saving tips.
