Some many gadgets so little time!
Shopping for gadgets is nearly a fulltime addiction for me. Gadgets Anonymous (GA) has yet to give me my one week chip!
Some of cool gadgets of our time
Out of the many gadgets I own the GPS is up there as one of the most handy, it means I can get from A to B without passing via X, Y and Z!
Also on my cool list is mp3 players these kickbutt over the walkman my Mum used to have.

iPhone
need i say more?
I don't have an iPhone, but they are truely cool from the vids I saw on YouTube. The new 3G model looks like it has some great improvements, some of features put some laptops laptops to shame! The user interface would be a delight for Inspector Gadget and he could listen to some nice beats as he flew around. This is the way electronics is best put to use.
Gadgets in movies
The level of gadgets in movies might be on the down. The latest Bond film was pretty hands on and had very little in the way of gadgets compared to previous Bond films. Maybe they thought it would distract from the product placement throughout the movie.
At least the movie is low tech enough to work without needing to go on the dvd players hunt!
