Bonjour to La Tour Eiffel -- The Eiffel Tower and La Tour Eiffel designer handbag!
Hello to La Tour Eiffel -- The Eiffel Tower that you will find in Paris. I recently had some information that the La Tour Eiffel brand of designer handbags MAY not be available in the not too distant future. Well, I'm now happy to report, that is not the case as there is a new distributor of this beautiful line. Read on and I'll tell you a bit more below.
La Tour Eiffel -- The Eiffel Tower is an iron tower built on the Champ de Mars beside the River Seine in Paris. It is the 'tallest structure in Paris' and among the most recognized symbols of France. Named after its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel, it is a premier tourist destination.
In French, it is referred to as La Tour Eiffel. Did you know that this is also the name of a line of designer handbags which most certainly must have been inspired by the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel Tower shape actually appears on the insignia of this line. The brown and tan signature La Tour Eiffel handbags are my preference as alternatives to Louis Vuitton. I recommend that you acquaint yourself with this line of designer handbags. That is a picture of me in front of the Eiffel Tower, taken in February, 2005.
Quick ... tell me honestly ...

A La Tour Eiffel -- Eiffel Tower
Isn't this cool?
What an interesting item this is! And, how very appropriate that this was a complement to the La Tour Eiffel brand of handbags. The La Tour Eiffel brand has many styles of handbags that has used the Eiffel Tower as detail on the bags.
This is actually a miniature Eiffel Tower, E-W7866, measuring 7.5 x 7.5 x 17 inches. It was selling for approximately $65.00, but appears to be sold out! Darn it.
I bought TWO of these -- I gifted one to a friend who loves Paris, can speak French, and actually taught French. This is definitely a collectible if you love Paris, France, and/or the Eiffel Tower!

How to clean & maintain your La Tour Eiffel handbag

As with any fine handbag, it is recommended that you always store it in its dustcover--a soft fabric bag--when not in use. Store it in a dry and not warm location. I keep mine in the dustcovers on the upper shelves of my walk-in closet. It's very dry and not hot.
To clean, keep in mind that the La Tour Eiffel brand is usually of mixed composition: fabric and leather or fine vinyl and leather. To clean the leather, carefully apply Leather Therapy -- it is available in a variety of types: water repellant, wash, restorer & conditioner, leather finisher. I've used the wash and restore & conditioner on my fine leather handbags and achieved excellent results.

An Update on the La Tour Eiffel Brand
In July 2007, I received some disappointing news about the La Tour Eiffel, as well as Vincent Van Gogh, brands.
"We are Chateau Anne, the sole distributor for La Tour Eiffel, Vincent Van Gogh, and RIONI products. As of now, we are discontinuing the La Tour Eiffel and Vincent Van Gogh lines. The factory is not willing to stand behind their products."
"The RIONI brand has been doing exceptionally well and has been overselling the La Tour Eiffel and Vincent Van Gogh combined. We are going to continue with the RIONI brand. Furthermore, RIONI will soon be published in ELLE Magazine." --www.rioni.com.
The Eiffel Tower according to Wikipedia
The Eiffel Tower (, ) is an iron tower built on the Champ de Mars beside the Seine River in Paris. The tower has become a global icon of France and is one of the most recognizable structures in the world.
Eiffel Tower Factoids
It was built between 1887 and 1889 as the entrance arch for the Exposition Universelle, a World's Fair marking the centennial celebration of the French Revolution.
At the time of its construction, it was the tallest structure in the world; until 1930, when New York City's Chrysler Building, at 1046 ft., was built.
The tower stands 986 ft. high, which is about 75 stories. Including the 72 ft. antenna, it's about 81 stories.
There are 1665 steps to the top of the structure.
The tower has two restaurants: Altitude 95, on the first floor and the Jules Verne, an expensive gastronomical restaurant on the second floor, with a private elevator.
The tower received its 200,000,000th guest on November 28, 2002.

La Tour Eiffel Handbag
This is a picture of a La Tour Eiffel Papillon, Style EF-8442. I sold the one pictured here quite a while ago. But, hold the phone! I just purchased two of these gorgeous designer bags for my collection. Why? Hmmm, good question--I've not decided who to give the second one too.
The papillon barrel, with the accent bow, is probably at the top of my list for favorite styles in the brown and tan signature series. It's featured in the top ten in my Best Bags lens.
I'll take this handbag ANY day over a Louis Vuitton papillon!
Our patent material with the Eiffel tower artwork is truly a creation of our design team. We match the carmel color with the tan leather trim to be both eye-catching and fashionable. With our unique style and workmanship, all customers will be proud to own one.
La Tour Eiffel Insignia
This is a close-up picture of the bow on the papillon handbag.
In the center of the goldtone hardware is the Eiffel Tower shape. On the outer edges of the round emblem is engraved, LA TOUR EIFFEL 1887.
La Tour Eiffel Plate
This is a close-up picture of the logo plate on the inside of the papillon handbag.
On the left side of the plate is the Eiffel Tower shape. To the right, is engraved, LA TOUR EIFFEL 1887. The beautiful satiny signature lining also bears the Eiffel Tower.

I didn't know there was a bag called La Tour Eiffel. Very interesting. I assumed you were referring to the big metal thing in Paris (based on the Blackpool Tower in Northern England, perhaps?)
