Laugh and Learn Mower: A Parent's Review

This toy mower has 3 different modes for a variety of learning opportunities!

Learning Mode
In Learning Mode, kids will learn things like colors, shapes, opposites and actions.

Music Mode
Push the mower, pull the starter or turn the knob and it will start singing fun songs about mowing the lawn. This is my daughter's favorite "mode" as she loves music! Some of the lyrics are a bit uninspired ("pushing along with the mower, hoping the grass will get lower...") but they're fun and upbeat!

Imagination Mode
In this mode your child can pretend to be using a real lawn mower! The mower makes realistic mowing sounds when kids play with it!

I'm not sure my daughter is really learning anything as she runs down the sidewalk pushing this mower. On the other hand, I appreciate toys that reinforce the things I am teaching my child. Children learn best through repetition so I think it's an asset to have toys that reiterate things like colors, opposites and numbers.

This toy does not allow a lot of room for creative play. It is what it is: a toy lawn mower. But, it is still a lot of fun!

I don't know why but younger toddlers just love pushing wheeled toys all over the place and this mower certainly fills that need! The music adds to that fun with upbeat songs that your kids will love singing along to!

Toddlers will also enjoying playing with the knob and "starter" on the base of the mower, when you manipulate them the mower talks or sings or makes noise depending on the mode it is set to.

It's enjoyable but it seems to only get played with for minutes at a time. There's little room for creative play - you push it, you pull it. I would get bored. But, young kids do love it, so who am I to judge? :)

I think you're getting very good value for $20 with the Laugh and Learn Mower. My daughter uses hers nearly every day - even if it's only for minutes a day. Running along pushing the mower gives her a chance to burn off some energy and just have some crazy fun.

For the most part this mower only gets used outside at our house. It is loud and we have a small living space which isn't great for push toys. It's more fun to use outside though where your child can pretend to really be mowing the lawn!

This is a very sturdy toy that I think my daughter will still enjoy at least through her 2nd birthday. Plus, I know it is a toy that will still be in good condition when we decide to have another child. In fact, I have a feeling it will be one that we pull out for the grandchildren to play with years from now.

This is not our favorite toy. Sometimes my daughter ignores it for days on end. Sometimes the noise is too much and I have to put it away. But, it's so much fun when we take it outside and help Daddy mow the lawn!
