Laughter Is The Best Medicine

But what if the simple act of laughing, or even just or SMILING can help to 'cure what ails you'? Can your own laughing, or the laughter of someone else REALLY make that big of a difference? Although laughing certainly won't be a quick cure for cancer and other major illnesses, I TRULY believe that it can, at the very least, reduce the stress which could ultimately aggravate an illness.

We're taught to recognize tears as an expression of sadness or pain. But if you've ever shed tears of joy or pure elation, you know what a truly amazing experience it is. It's one of the craziest, most enjoyable feelings in the world!
I met someone a while ago who constantly made me laugh. Not just a giggle here or there, but deep down, gut-busting laughter - The kind that made me cry. This person came into my life at a time when even SMILING was the last thing on my mind. I was completely overwhelmed with every aspect of my life, and was in a constant state of emotional turmoil.
I wrote the following song for this person with the hopes that the laughter would continue forever. Truly, through the care and efforts of this friend, I learned that laughter IS the best medicine. It's my hope that, through sharing this with you, I can pass on that message.

She bumped into him by accident -
A 'shot in the dark,' it's been said.
But an instant connection,
A promised protection,
Resurrected a joy that was dead.
Everyone said it was just a game.
Sometimes you win, then you lose.
But a hope for tomorrow
Through each joy or sorrow
Prompted the trade of their views.

Regardless the circumstance,

To enjoy this friendship of Man -
