Laughter Is The Best Medicine

LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE

This was written by my Wife and I thought I would share it with you.

Where has all the happiness gone in the World? Nobody seems to laugh anymore.

We live in a very depressing world. The news is full of doom and gloom. Why can we not have some uplifting, heart-warming stories? But, no, we are reminded about Global Warming, Terrorism, Stabbings, Shootings, Muggings, Floods, Wars, Famine. You are no longer safe in your own home. That is, as long as you still have one and the bank doesn't take that from you because you got behind with the mortgage payments! We no longer earn enough money to live.

What made me think so much about this?

I was watching some old videos we made when the children (I have 3) were small. We were all laughing at their antics and the funny little things they said. Children are full of fun and laughter. (They have no worries like the rest of us!)

What really brought this all to a head was something my eldest daughter said after watching the videos. "Mum, you looked happy then!" She was right.

It made me look at my life and analyse it.

I WAS HAPPY THEN

What had changed? Circumstances, money, life in general! I had reached a point where I was feeling very depressed (Mainly over money - or lack of it!) I had forgotten how to have fun. Things don't seem half as bad when you laugh again.

The video and my daughters' statement inspired me and I took up photography as a hobby and started to design greetings cards. I personalised birthday cards and Christmas cards for family and friends. I was pleased with the results. People started to smile.

With this is mind, I developed some humorous cards. Some to make you laugh aloud, some to make you chuckle and some to make you groan!

Whatever the occasion, receiving a card whether sentimental or funny lifts your spirit and lightens your mood.

My husband has been busy designing some humorous tshirts to make you smile.
