Top 10 Laundry room borders to spruce up your laundry room.

Ranked #14,831 in Home & Garden, #205,564 overall

Growing up I was assigned assorted "chores" to do around the house. One of those chores was to help with the laundry; and eventually I took over my own laundry needs. The household rules were that laundry was done ONLY on Mondays and if the clothes didn't make it into the hamper then it would wait till the following Monday. I really didn't mind doing the laundry, (ironing was another story), because it made me feel like I was a "grown-up". I must be honest and say that I did complain from time to time, but my Mom never heard me complain.

Our laundry room was an added on room in the back side of the house. It was a small room just big enough for the washer and dryer and one person to move around. The walls were plain concrete block. I got bored more with the laundry room than actually doing the laundry. I had determined when I was on my own that my laundry rooms were going to be decorated no matter how small they may be. The cheapest and easiest way to decorate a laundry room is by adding wallpaper borders. Today wall paper borders come in a peel and press format or pre-pasted. Either way they are easy to put up and take down. Here are my top ten borders to decorate your laundry rooms.

I'm surprised at the 88% of laundry is done by women, I'm surprised that many men to laundry. I really need to decorate my laundry room. Thanks for the ideas!

I stenciled ivy around my laundry room and hung a vintage laundry sign. These borders would have been a great way to get quick results for an appealing place to work.

My laundry room is decorated, although I don't have a border up. Never thought of a border in the laudry room. Neat idea. Just might try one.

100% of the laundry at our house is done by a woman (me!) I actually don't mind doing it, but I like the room to be neat and organized. I'm surprised to see the cold water number so low (35%). I use cold for everything, but we just went solar so maybe I should splurge on warm once in awhile.
