Lauren Jones | The World's Sexiest New Face

Let's go back to the beginning: Jones was raised in Jackson, Mississippi, the only child of Debi Martinson Pearsall and Jim Jones (that hunting guy with his own show on TV), and the great-niece of State Representative Rita Martinson (Madison, Mississippi). Here we see that this bombshell comes from a pretty prestigious background, so we know she's destined for some kinda fame somehow or another.

She attended junior high school at St. Andrew's in Ridgeland, Mississippi, - nice, a Southern Belle! - where she played Juliet in a school production of William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet. At age 14, Jones, accompanied by her mother, moved from Jackson to NYC. At 17, Jones was encouraged to pursue an acting career, subsequently living in London, England, Boston, Massachusetts, New York, New York and Los Angeles, California. She was a high school homecoming queen and an NCAA cheerleader - Paris Hilton, you were none of these things - Lauren Jones, you go girl! Now THAT is hot.

She came to prominence initially after winning a national modeling contest sponsored by Seventeen magazine in 2000, was featured in the mag, and then appeared on Live with Regis and Kathie Lee subsequently. I am pretty positive this was before Kathie Lee left, got some pretty decent plastic surgey, and returned to TV Land as we see her now on 'The Today Show'.

In 2003, Jones earned a BBA degree in design and management from Parsons School of Design - thank God... smart and beautiful - and studied abroad at The University of Westminster in London, England. Wow, and well traveled. What more could you want in one woman? That's rhetorical so stop thinking too hard.

While in NY attaining her undergraduate degree, she concurrently studied theater, TV and film at various performing art schools. So I'm glad to see that she is no blonde dummy living in LA LA Land trying to make it big off stripping at night and doing nothing during the day like all the others. This girl has studied [googly eyes, tongue out, with a thought bubble of Lauren Jones in a librarian outfit with glasses on].

As an Actress/Model, Jones has appeared on the Nickelodeon TV series, The Naked Brothers Band, as Double X, on MTV2's Wonder Showzen, the soap opera, Guiding Light, in the feature film Spider-Man 3, and as a Barker's Beauty on the CBS' game show The Price is Right. On TPIR, Jones appeared for five weeks in April and May 2007 before leaving to film the TV show 'Anchorwoman'. Whether mistake or good fortune, we became a bit more familiar with Lauren Jones because this thrust her into the lime light... for a minute at least. Sorry Bob, Lauren's smokin' hot bod was needed elsewhere. God love him.

On stage, Jones has played the parts of Marty Maraschino in the production of Grease and Ti Moon in Once on This Island. Clearly we've heard of the first prodction so we can applaud Jones' efforts here. But the other play? Uh... hmmm. Dunno. Don't care.

Jones has studied the performing arts at schools such as The Actors Studio, Weist Barron and Three of Us Studios in NYC.

Lauren Jones is also known as the star of Fox's Anchorwoman (to those who watched). The show debuted August 22nd, 2007 on FOX. Sadly, in my opinion, and I'm not really asking for approval on it right now, it was canceled. Bummer. I like watching a hot blonde with big boobs do the news. Like I said, smart and hot are a great combo. And it's very obvious Jones is smart, given her credentials on paper. I give her the benefit of the doubt because A) reality TV is clearly not reality and B) I want to because she's hot.

Jones has appeared in magazines including Fortune (that's pretty huge), Seventeen, Sync, and Men's Health among others, as well as on the covers of Sound & Vision, LA Health News, Tyler Today, New Living, and The New York Sportscene, among too many others to name. Her modeling clients have included Axe deodorant, Burger King, Coppertone sunscreen and Met-Rx, of which Jones is an endorser, holding the title of Miss Met-Rx 2007.
