About Lavalier Alves

Lavalier Alves is a native New Englander and presently makes his home in Wilbraham, MA.  Mr. Alves has two young boys that keep him busy when he is not working. 

The three of them are all big sports fans, and name the Red Sox and the Patriots as their favorites.  Lavalier Alves stays in shape with the help of his regular tennis league.  In addition his family and work life, Mr. Alves makes time to volunteer his time with several local charitable organizations.  He serves on the board of the Oscal Hillel Plotkin Family Foundation. 

Lavalier Alves graduated from Northeastern University where he received a degree with honors and majored in Accounting.  Mr. Alves went on to gain his Professional Masters in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. 

Mr. Lavalier Alves is currently the Controller for Berkshire Development.  Lavalier Alves enjoys what he does and has been there since May of 2000. Berkshire Development, LLC is a well respected real estate development company headquartered in Massachusetts.  Prior to Berkshire Development, Lavalier Alves served as the Finance Manager at Big Y Foods, Inc a grocery chain that makes its home in Springfield, MA.

Mr. Lavalier Alves also has gone on to become a CFM - Certified in Financial Management, as well as a CMA - Certified Management Accountant.  He also speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
