Lavender Cookies
These delicate flavored Lavender cookies are sweet, floral, and light and feathery. The lavender is not overpowering, it's a delicate flavor, which makes it the perfect cookie to serve with tea, at baby showers and bridal luncheons, and for the holidays. These lavender cookies are very easy to make. The recipe only requires some basic baking ingredients and a tablespoon of dried culinary lavender. These cookies look beautiful when displayed on a plate garnished with lavender.

Lavender Cookie Recipe
Makes about 3 dozen lavender cookies
Lavender Cookie Ingredients2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 extra large egg, lightly beaten
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender, chopped
Lavender Cookie Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Lightly grease a cookie sheet.
3. In a large bowl, mix the butter and sugar; mix well.
4. Beat in the egg.
5. Sift together the flour and baking powder into the mixture.
6. Add the lavender; stir until thoroughly combined.
7. Drop spoonfuls of the lavender cookie mixture onto the baking sheet; bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
8. Let the cookies cool for 5 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serve on a platter garnished with lavender flowers.

- I am out of this. I like to try and to experiment, but this is not for me. Recently I tried flowers of a marrow filled with minced meat, what is a kind of traditional food in Cyprus, and I needed 3 double vodka to get rid of the flower taste afterwards. I love the smell of lavender, but prefer it in the fabric softener though.
