Lovely Lavender Rhododendron

Each bud has now burst into a lovely lavender flower. The flowers have formed a lovely gigantic cluster. The hot afternoon sun now shines brightly on this lovely lavender rhododendron cluster. You can see that this cluster has cast a shadow on its huge green leaves. I think it's trying to tell us that it's the most lovely flower.

The lovely rhododendron shrub begins flowering with single buds that resemble pinecones. This pinecone shaped bud separates and bursts into multiple buds. Each bud will begin to flower and will eventually form a lovely round cluster.

This lovely lavender rhododendron is an evergreen variety that keeps its leaves throughout winter. When the flowers drop in winter there is still lovely green foliage that adds privacy to my neighbor's front door from the road and his driveway.

The branches of the lovely rhododendron shrub are very strong and supportive. Here a double cluster of lovely lavender rhododendron flowers form one gigantic cluster.

As old clusters of flowers...dry and fall to the ground...more lovely buds are ready to burst and take their place.

The hot afternoon sun begins to fade hardy green leaves on the lovely rhododendron shrub. However, the lovely clusters of rhododendron flowers remain lovely and full. The branches continue to remain strong and supportive.
