    For best results be sure to use culinary lavender. Anything labeled Lavandula angustifolia with names like 'Hidcote' or Munstead.' Many are surprised at how easy it is to grow a pot of it on deck that supplies enough dried lavender for many of these wonderful culinary delights! http://www.growinglavenderplants.com/

    Lavender cookies sound great. I've been to the lavender festival in Washington a couple of times, where they have lavender ice cream, cold drinks and cakes..... all delicious!
