Law of Attraction, Manifesting, and the Metaphysics
The term Law of Attraction has been in everyday vernacular since the book The Secret appeared on a popular talk show. I have been working with manifesting for years so it's never really been a secret for me. This book, recently bringing the Law of Attraction into the forefront of a type of "mob popularity," has spawned everything from a proliferation of internet movies to pyramid schemes for making money based on this Law.
You don't have to spend money on books or videos, DVD's or CD's to unlock your potential. You just don't! I bought The Secret to see primarily what all the hype was about and also what new information it could offer me.
Being a metaphysical and manifesting being, though not necessarily aware of the terminology for it until I was an adult, I have to say that The Secret was rather disjointed and not very clear, in my opinion. For the one who desires instruction, tools, and knowledge of metaphysical principles, I hope to assist you!

Four Basic Metaphysical Lessons
Manifesting items into physical existence as a topic for an article is easier to swallow for practitioners and students of metaphysical spirituality or metaphysical and gnostic christianity. For others, this article will be a waste of time. I implore those who may have found this article by "accident" or to answer some questions, approach this with an open mind.
As I don't believe in coincidence but in synchronicity, I believe there is a reason everyone is where they are at any given time. Even here. So if you can be willing to believe, though perhaps not necessarily believing, I fully believe that is all that is required because that is where I started a long time ago.
This article is going to cover only the basics. More articles, past articles I've written, focus on only one or two aspects. If you go through my articles, even if not in the Manifesting or Metaphysical category, you will notice how my philosophy discusses aspects of a paradigm shift. This is because the Law of Attraction [or manifesting] is, indeed, a life change. And that's Lesson #1...

Manifesting, Metaphysical, and Related Readings
You do not need to buy any book or scheme for manifestation of your desire to start! This is not the price of admission. But I have these books because I am a book hound and I enjoy reading. But if you must choose a book - just one book - I would highly suggest Sermon on the Mount, a classic by Emmet Fox. Not only did this book re-ignite my passion for metaphysical understanding but whenever I pick it up it continues to reveal more spiritual keys of the Christ understanding [also called metaphysical Christianity] as well as reinforcing my spiritual path. It also re-inculcates any pieces of my mind back toward metaphysical truth that may've gone back to "the world" as a solution.
Is this a Bunch of Dangerous Hooey?
Considering this philosophy of positive thinking to manifesting what you want, how could any right-thinking person chalk this up to anything less than common sense?
I know I have people in my life who are "naysayers." They like to call themselves realists or pragmatists but I like to call them faithless. Funny enough it's this one quality, "faith" that, if lacking, will absolutely produce same in your life.
How is it ever wrong to think positively and to surround yourself with like-minded people? When it happens one time and you reap the benefits of "Law of Attraction" it will give you the faith needed to continue. But remember, even an ancient text once said, "Just the faith of a mustard seed" is all you need to get started.
So get started!
Your Opinion: Is this Hooey?
Forget dangerous hooey. Do you think this is all just a bunch of nonsense irrespective of the 'danger' factor?

- I believe there is something -not sure I would call it a "law"-, as I've witnessed some events, but it works in strange ways and I'm not sure you can rely on it to work every time the way you want it to.
