My husband thinks everything is a "weed" and mows over them. My dog, Howie, thinks everything is a hiding place for lizards and either tramples over or digs them up.

I really like this article and am bookmarking it on Stumble so I can search the wildflower identification links again and again. Thanks!

Gosh, I think I'd like to have some buttercups in our yard! You know, we've transplanted many a plant in our yard -- the trick is to get them to grow in our back yard. It's quite a bit more sunny there. It's funny that those weeds seem to grow the best!

This is a great lens. I love the way you show us pictures of the anonymous plants your transplanted then, later on, you reveal what they are.

The links to identify plants will be really useful for me. And, yes, I've relocated wildflowers before, some of them are really beautiful.

This is REALLY well done. I personally think the hawkweed is really pretty. Weed-shmeed.

I don't know anything about gardening but this is a beautiful lens! 5*

Excellent lens, most impressed. I found a plant one time which looked similar to what you have there but when it flowered, the petals were a gorgeous rusty orange. 5* and a sprinkling of Angel Dust to help you along with your gardening.
