LCD TV Buying Guide

If you are looking to buy a LCD TV for a great affordable price, you are not alone.  There are steps to take and research needed to find the best deal available.

Here are some tips that will help you in your search.

1. The first step is to determine your preferences and the money that
    you are prepared to spend.

2. Narrow your choices by going to a large retailer to look at the
LCD TVs before making a purchase decision.

3. Check Craig's list and EBay to see what kind of deal is being
    offered on used models.

4. Decide on your top 3 preferences and get ready to hunt for the
    best price.

If an older model is OK with you seek a retailer with last year's models still on the shelf unsold. This search is generally best done in the summer when the retailer is getting ready for the new models to arrive.  If you find a desired model leftover late in the Fall you can often make a good deal.

If you have decided on a newer model as your choice, the Internet is where the best price is likely to be found.  Go to Amazon.com and Newegg.com to carefully check prices.  These sites have some excellent prices and offer a wide selection.

If you are buying a TV online be sure to check the details of delivery. Expensive delivery charges can make a seemly good price not so good when it is actually delivered.  Research of all the details and customer satisfaction with the TV you have selected are important.  Amazon has a customer review feature that is an excellent help in deciding what to buy.  Even if you are buying from another source it is smart to go to Amazon, find the TV you are thinking about buying and see what people who have bought that set think about it

I also suggest going to a LCD TV review site to check out the specs of the LCD TV and the price range before you end up bidding on a LCD TV on EBay or buying one. Visiting forums and tech sites are other great ways to research the LCD TV you want to buy before purchasing it from any source. If you're still deciding on what type of TV to buy you can check out the pros and cons of LCD and Plasma TVs online at various review sites. If you're uncomfortable about buying your TV online , check out your local Wal-Mart or Best Buy. These stores still have reasonable prices and customer service to help you out.

If you buy from a retail store, make sure not to let them talk you into any deals that come with the TV that cost extra. Insurance and maintenance deals are generally not a good deal. The profit to the store on those deals is high and they tend to push for this type of add on.  The good deal can become not so good with the extras they try to sell
