Fun Service Projects For Young Women Mutual Activities

Looking for something you can do as a group to give service in your community? Here are a few suggestions. Feel free to add your own in our guestbook.
  • make tray favors for meals on wheels or hospitals
  • make & freeze a dinner for local missionaries
  • prepare some songs and go to sing at a senior center or care facility
  • write letters to all the missionaries serving from your ward
  • plan a Mother's Day lunch for the senior sisters in your ward; serve a simple lunch, perform skits or sing songs as entertainment. Give each senior sister a homemade card or favor as a special tribute.
  • check with a local library to see if they have book cleaning or sorting service that needs to be done.
  • Make a giant thank you card for the Bishop; have everyone sign it and have a Bishopric counselor prop it up in the Bishop's office chair for him to find (along with a treat.)

Fun Recipes For LDS Young Women Activities

St. Patrick's Day Green Cake

St. Patrick's Day... here's a delicious bundt cake recipe that you can serve at Mutual.

ST. PATRICK'S KILARNEY LIME BUNDT CAKE

1 pkg. Duncan Hines white or yellow cake mix
1 small (3 oz.) pkg. lime Jello
3 eggs
2/3 c. oil
2/3 c. water
1/3 c. chopped pecans (opt.)
1/2 c. orange juice
2/3 c. sugar

Combine cake mix and pkg. of dry Jello. Add eggs, oil, and water. Fold in pecans (optional). Sprinkle a greased Bundt pan generously with sugar. Pour in batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes. Mix orange juice and 2/3 cup sugar. Bring to a rolling boil for 1 minute and set aside. Remove cake and brush with orange juice mixture as glaze. Pour any remainder over top of cake.
