I've never tried a dutch or french oven, but one pot cooking sounds right up my alley. Otherwise, I use my crockpot.

You can use the dutch oven just like the crockpot, with a long cooktime at low temps or you can cook at higher temps.

I've heard ladies talking about the Le Creuset French oven like it was a gift from heaven, just like you do and it sounds like it is at the top of its class with all those features and that amazing warranty. I wonder if you know about the recipe module we have, just Browse all modules, then All modules and "R", its fun and easy to use and your readers can get a printable version. I even use the module for poetry that I share on lenses.

I have a smaller pot (maybe 3 or 4 qts) but I just LOVE how evenly it cooks on the stove or in the oven. My pot came from my Grandmother so I am not sure how old it is, but it still looks great. Nice Lense! I love all the different colors!

Wow! Excellent lens! Do you know, I'd never actually considered getting one of these, but now I think it would be a very clever idea! Really love your lens - so much quality information. Thanks v much for sharing. :)

I absolutely love my red French oven! I own a lot of Calphalon cookware, but my trusty Le Creuset pot makes the best beef stew and homemade chili ever! I've also made killer spaghetti sauce and pork roast. It still looks great after more than 10 years of use. Thanks for the great lens! Happy cooking!

I have one of these and I use it a lot. Very high quality and just the right size for lots of cooking tasks. It will last forever too - I have had mine about 15 years and it looks brand new.
