Leaning Tower - Photograph

Photo taken of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, during my first visit to Pisa. Unfortunately, the Leaning Tower was undergoing repairs and was not open to visitors; however, I very much enjoyed seeing this architectural curiosity.
The Italian translation for the Leaning Tower of Pisa is "la Torre Pendente di Pisa", but it is sometimes referred to as "la Torre di Pisa". {Photo copyright Heidi Brault.}

- Yes. You can climb the tower. My husband and I climbed it last June while there on our honeymoon. It is an experience like none other.

- I just wondered, does the jewelry lean too? :) It's amazing how much the tower leans, and yet it's still standing. Not sure I would feel safe climbing up it, assuming you are allowed. I hope it doesn't collapse.

- We have some fun leaning tower items, like a Parmesan cheese shaker and a wine bottle. Jewelry would be a unique way to celebrate one of Italy's architectural treasures.

- Beautiful. Hard to believe I was at the top of that Tower in 1955---on my Sr. Class trip. Brings back so many memories. If I were a jewelry person, I would buy one of the silver ones. Great lens, good job.
