The Top 3 Most Popular Foreign Language Lessons
If you're thinking about learning a second (or a third or fourth) language, the most popular language lessons today are Spanish, French or German. All three of these languages have enough in common in their grammar rules to make learning them easier than you think. Spanish, French and German all have forms of verbs and nouns that contain similarities.
If you look at the roots of any language, you'll see a connection as many languages sprang up from Latin. Once you have the foundation of one foreign language under your belt, it's easier to add another.
Spanish lessons are popular not only due to the growing Spanish speaking communities in the United States but because of the flowing ease in which it is spoken. There are many opportunities to practice Spanish without having to travel.
French has been called the language of love because it was dubbed one of the romance languages, just as Spanish has also been noted as one of the romance languages. There are many businesses who cultivate employees who can speak German simply because these businesses have international relations with German companies.
Whether you choose to learn one of the top three most popular languages are all three, you can enhance your life as well as your increase your worth to potential employers.

"I purchased Rosetta Stone in the airport after seeing it many times. I speak French and have always wanted to speak, read and write Spanish as I think it's important living in the USA. We are most certainly becoming a bilingual country and I want to be able to communicate with everyone.
That said, I am very happy with my purchase. It's really quite effective and has me thinking in Spanish and I'm only going into Level 2. Of course I am supplementing my learning with a dictionary, verb book and a couple of phrase books... one using lots of slang and naughty words and expressions. The more you put into it the more you will get out. I also have been watching Spanish TV and listening to Spanish radio and talking with friends who are native speakers and it's all very helpful.
This is an expensive course and I'd only recommend it if you're actually serious in learning Spanish. Buena suerte!"

Tools That Help You Speak a New Language Fast
When you've decided that learning a foreign language is something you definitely want to do, you have many options available as to how you can learn. I'll just touch on a few of the easier ways to learn. The first way you can learn to speak a foreign language is through the use of textbooks. One of the plusses of using textbooks is that it's inexpensive. However, price is the only plus. Having a textbook alone is a frustrating and limited learning experience because you can't actually hear the language as it should be spoken.
The second way you could learn to speak a new language is through the help of a personal tutor, someone who is fluent in the language you want to learn. If you use the help of a tutor, your options are limited by setting up appointments where your schedule can coincide with the tutors and then there's the cost. Hiring a private tutor isn't cheap and to effectively learn a foreign language from a tutor, you're looking at least a year of investing both your time and money.
The third way to learn a foreign language is by taking a language class. Learning in a school type setting means you're limited to learning at the same pace as everyone else. If you don't understand a lesson as quickly as the other students, the teacher can't hold the class up for one person.
The fourth, best and final way to learn a new language is to learn at home through the help of a software tool or multi media product. The benefits of buying a foreign language software outweigh any expense the software has.
You can learn a foreign language in the privacy of your home and have the convenience of availability when you want it. The software or program usually contains both audio and text learning tools. Not only do you get to see the words, but you can hear how they're correctly pronounced as well.

"For those of you who are seriously determined to learn more than just the basics of French in a short amount of time, well this is your chance. This product is not cheap at first glance, but when you add up all the costs for books, language lessons and time you'll spend in a community college or with a private tutor, you'll quickly realize the value of owning The Rosetta Stone.
The product itself contains several useful tools to help you get started. There are the three levels of CD-ROM software that can be installed both Mac and PC, a microphone (that can be used with many other applications), the guide and then the multiple CDs that you can play at home, in your car or anyplace you carry your MP3 player (I particularly enjoyed these).
Functionally, this product is exceptional as it allowed me to learn how to spell and write, speak without following a script, strategies to learn and retain what I learned for a long time. With simple practice, I learned how to ask what is your age, simple greetings, finding directions, telling the time of day and using correctly past, present and future tense. If you are as diligent as I am, you'll learn in no time how to order food in restaurants, express ideas and comprehend terms from the daily life, such as the news from the media.
I highly recommend this product and personally guarantee that you can walk away with a lot more knowledge of the language than you presently possess."

"Rosetta Stone calls their language method Dynamic Immersion. Vocabulary is introduced to you through pictures and word associations and the grammar is introduced the same way along with more pictures. The program also works on your pronunciation skills with their system of speech recognition. You listen to words and phrases and write them down or practice staying them. The program also focuses on sounds common to the language you're learning, further improving how you sound when you speak.
The program is very easy to use and it's very intuitive. I like the way the program shows you four images at once and lets you figure out which picture goes with what you're hearing. It's pretty easy and it seems to burn the words and phrases into your memory. If you stick with the program, which isn't all that hard to do, because it's fun and rewarding, I imagine you'll be learning German faster than you thought possible."
