Try Lots of Spanish Food

Visit As Many Historic Sites As You Can

Make Some Friends with The Locals

Stop A Local on The Street and Ask For A Recommendation For A Place To Eat (the locals will know the really good places)

The Same As Above For Places To Shop and Stay (if you have not already booked your hotels) This is where a bit of basic Spanish will really come in handy, and be well worth your time. The locals really will know all the best places. Don't you know all the best places in your neighborhood, or at least a few?

When going to a country that speaks a foreign language, I always take the time to learn as much of the language as I can before I go. I feel strongly that to travel to a foreign country, whether for business or pleasure, and not bother to at least learn the basic courtesy words is disrespectful, but that is just my opinion. I like to at least be able to greet and thank people in their own language.

Goodbye: Adiós
Thank You: Gracias
Please: Por favor
Yes: Sí
No: No
Excuse Me: ¡Perdone!
I'm Sorry: Lo siento
Good Day: Buenos diás
Good Evening: Buenos tardes
