Learn To Play Guitar Like A Pro

First thing you need is...drum roll please...yea, you guessed it...a guitar! Wait, wait... don't give up just yet, i know guitars are expensive but you can get a used 6 string acoustic guitar online for fairly cheap if you look around. It doesn't have to be a top of the line guitar, something that is in good shape is fine. Also pick yourself up a tuner as well, which is also fairly cheap.

So you have a guitar and you have a pick... now what? You actually have to learn how to play the guitar! You cant just play around with it till you get the hang of it. You need to start with the basics and work your way up.

This is where i finally took a leap of faith and, yes...paid for lessons. You may go about this in a few ways.

One, hire a personal coach to teach you how to play the guitar. This method is fine....if you're a millionaire! Yes it can get a tad expensive, but if you got the dough, go for it!

Your second choice is the road i took, learn online! I know online guitar learning programs also cost money, but they teach you just as well as a personal coach but at a fraction of the price.

For me, the best method to take was to learn online, guitar in hand, in front of my computer! This allowed me to learn at my own pace. It did take some time cause i was leading a fairly busy life, but once i started getting a hang of it ... it was like i was addicted to my guitar. I couldn't go a night without taking at least an hour learning new techniques and practicing all i had learned.
