Learn How To Draw A Car: What's The Quickest Way?

The best way to learn how to draw a car and make it look real is to find a step by step guide. Unfortunately most of the free ones I have found on the net are either teaching how to draw boring cars and not really teaching the techniques you can use to be able to draw any car you want, anytime.

Eventually I found an ebook that has everything.

It gives you detailed video step by step instructions on perspective, shading and everything you can think of, it's called "How To Draw Cars Fast And Easy" and you can check it out here: Start Drawing Now!

Learn How To Draw A Car: 3 Easy Tips To Improve Your Drawings

It's all well and good going around the net looking for free guides to learn how to draw a car and trying to copy them, but you will probably end up spending alot of time spinning your wheels. So I'm just going to give you a few general tips that will improve your drawings and hopefully get them looking real nice!

1. Proportions:

- Proportions are probably the most important part of getting your car to look real, there's nothing worse than a picture of a car with bad proportions. On the other hand learning how to do this well will move you alot closer to be able to making that car look like it's sitting purring on your piece of paper.

- So how do we get the proportions right? The best method is to use a grid. The grid squares can be whatever size you like smaller than about 2 inches. The grid is obviously there to help you compare sizes of the lines you draw. It also helps when your doing your drawing in perspective because you need to have to be able to follow a size ratio very accurately.

2. Shading:

- Ever wondered how the pros make parts of the car very shiny, bright and metallic? This is because of good shading technique. Shading can take a very long time, depending on how much of a perfectionist you want to be! You will ahve to play around with tones and matching them up before you learn what works and what doesn't.

- What you will need is different types of pencils. Varying from HB to 5B. This obviously takes care of the different types of metal your car will have. When trying to find out how a car will look if your not drawing from a picture, take a look outside and look at how the light plays on other cars, then imagine your vision in black and white and you will see exactly how draw a real car by shading.

3. Lines:

- Lines are one of the things people seem to find most difficult, but they are actually the easiest. Even the best artists take a while to get a line right and straight the way they want it. All you need to do is start with a very light pencil and just keep re-drawing that line until your happy with it. It takes time, but eventually you will get the hang of it and you will get faster and faster.

- Another big mistake I see people doing when they draw is tilting their head. This mightn't seem like much, but when you tilt your head your drawing also become tilted at the same angle your head is! Ever had a drawing that is tilted to the right? Stop tilting your head! This will help your line work alot.

It can be very frustrating when you think you've done all the steps and spent alot of time trying to learn how to draw cars and it turns out looking like a 2 year old has done it. (At least that's what some of mine looked like, don't laugh!) This usually happens because people make funny little mistakes without realizing it, which they could have avoided.
For this reason I recommend getting a proven guide that will give you exact steps and tell you exactly what your doing wrong and how to fix your drawings.

It's called "How To Draw Cars Fast And Easy" and it's the best tool available if you want to learn how to draw a car that looks really good consistantly.
