What is Palm Reading?
Is palmistry an art form that requires years of training as an apprentice or an expensive palm reading chart? NO. Palmistry can be accessed immediately by anyone.
Palm Line Reading
The meanings of the lines on your palm
Before reading a palm, it is necessary to know the major lines of the hand. Take your left hand and place it, palm upward, on the table. Now identify these lines:1. The Lifeline
Locate the space between your thumb and index finger. Move your finger halfway between the two, and you will see a spot where two lines of the palm begin. One of these lines will move in a downward curve toward the wrist. This is your lifeline, and will contain details of your lifespan, etc.
2. The Head Line
The other line that begins at this location will move somewhat across the palm. This is your head line, and will indicate your mind.
3. The Love Line
Moving parallel and above the head line should be the love line. It should span the space between your pinky finger and your index finger. This line will speak of your love life.
4. The Line of Fate
This line will move upwards from your wrist to the top of your hand, and should occur in the center of your palm. In most cases, it sort of splits the palm in vertical halves, and is directly to the right of the lifeline. It will indicate your direction in life.
5. The Line of the Sun
This line also moves up through the palm, and should be directly to the right of the Line of Fate. This line is generally shorter than the Line of Fate, however, and speaks of your successes.
6. Children
A prevision of your children can come from the base of your pinky, at the side of your hand. If you look closely, you will see small lines moving parallel to the Head Line on your hand. These indicate your children and their offspring.
The Basics of Palmistry
Which hand to read? Left or right? This is the first question that is asked by most people when it comes to palm reading. Traditional Palmistry suggests that the in order for a palm reading to be accurate, the right hand must be read for males, and for females, the left hand should be read instead.
However, the scientific approach says that it is important to see both of their hands. The scientific approach states that the left hand is a doorway to the natural persona of an individual, while the right hand shows what that person has done with their talents and personality. This would however be the opposite for a left hander.
Hand flexibility:
The flexibility of someone's hand generally shows thee adjustable nature of that person. The more flexible their hand is, the more adjusting their nature is.
Hand texture
A soft textured hand will usually mean refinement and sensitivity. A rough textured hand will generally depict a coarse nature. Calluses in the hand texture will show that the individual either has a job where he has to work with his hands a lot or is just a genuinely hardworking person.
The Nails
The shape of the nails also gives us a better insight into the personality of an individual. Square nails show organization. Long nails which stop at the tips show originality and creativity.
Color of hands
The color of the hands shows the nature of blood circulation in the individuals body. A pinkish colored hand, therefore, shows a healthy individual. Yellow denotes excessive bile production. Blue color shows a circulation problem.
Mounts
The mounts are found generally at the base of the fingers. It is important to note the texture, color and firmness of these mounts, just as one would examine the hand in general. Here is some general information about these mounts.
- The mount at the base of the index finger is the Mount of Jupiter and it denotes ambition, leadership, religion, and love of nature.
- The mount at the base of the second finger is known as the Mount of Saturn, and it denotes soberness, wisdom, sadness, and balance.
- The mount at the base of the ring finger is called as the Mount of Apollo. It denotes brilliance, artistic tendencies, happiness and success.
- The mount at the base of the fourth finger is known as the Mount of Mercury, and it shows the client's aptitude for industry, business and shrewdness.
- At the base of the thumb is the Mount of Venus, which shows love, sympathy, music and passion.
- The edge of the hand below the base of the Mount of Mercury is the Mount of Moon. This shows imagination, mysticism, coldness and selfishness.
- The rest of the hand, which is the middle part of the palm, forms the Plain of Mars, which shows courage, bravery and aggression.
Lines
And now we talk about the lines on the hand. These are perhaps the most fascinating part of our study. Here is some general information about these lines.
- The first prominent line, just below our fingers is the Heart Line. This line shows the emotional nature of the client, along with any problems relating to the heart.
- Just below the heart line is the Head Line. This line shows the mental or intellectual nature of the client, along with any mental problems that he might suffer.
- The third prominent line, which follows a downward curving path on our hand, is the Life Line. This shows us the nature and length of the client's life.
There are quite a few other lines which add to the information that we can gain by studying these main lines. Here is some general information about them.
- The Line(s) of Affection are present on the Mount of Mercury and show relationships and marriage.
- The Line of Saturn or the Fate Line crosses the palm and begins near the end of the Life Line and ends somewhere near or on the Mount of Saturn. This line shows the material success of the client.
- The Line of Apollo begins from the upper part of the Mount of Moon and ends on the Mount of Apollo. This line determines the brilliance of the client in his / her sphere of life.
- The Line of Mercury begins on the plain of Mars and ends on the Mount of Mercury. This line denotes the health of the client.

Review of Samantha Stevens' "Guide to Palmistry" eBook
My review on the most popular eBook on palm reading
I only recently interested myself in this whole palm reading phenomenon after a friend of mine took a look at my palm and told me all these things about my future.I wanted to learn how to read palms myself and a few of my friends who are into palm reading recommended Samantha Stevens' "Guide to Palmistry" eBook.
So I went ahead and checked out her website and found that it was only $8.95. I couldn't help but chuckle. I was expecting it to be too expensive for me, something like $50 or more, but luckily it came within my budget of $20. Anyways, enough with the meaningless talk. Let's get to reviewing!
My review of Samantha's 120 page "Guide to Palmistry" eBook:
Well, what can I say? It was like reading a book made for children. It was that easy to understand. Not only was the book written in very fine detail, but there were also illustrations to help guide me along every step of the way.
The free palm reading chart was also very helpful. It was something I could bring along with me anywhere so I could easily remember the basics of palm reading.
I'm not sure what else I can say, but to me that was $8.95 well spent. I've had so much fun these past few days reading the palms of my workmates that the price I paid for the eBook is pretty much irrelevant.
You can also apparently make some money by offering palm readings for a price, but I'd personally offer to do it for free for the simple fact that it's fun. Whatever you choose to do with the information in the eBook is completely up to you.
