Learn Spanish Like Crazy - The Easy Way
Do you have your doubts when you hear somebody talk about how you can learn Spanish like crazy instead of taking the long one or two semester course? I often wondered why it seemed like some people picked up Spanish very quickly and yet I always seemed to struggle understanding the logic behind even the simplest phrases. What they don't tell you is that it is all in the learning/teaching technique and lo and behold it IS possible to learn Spanish like crazy! (just a side note this is NOT about the "learn Spanish like Crazy course")
The Technique Used To Learn Spanish Like Crazy
As I am sure you already know. In most Spanish courses, you are given lists of thousands of vocabulary words and phrases and are told to memorize them until you are familiar and comfortable speaking them. This is all well and good but I want to learn Spanish like crazy fast. Not by taking weeks or months and memorizing a bunch of words and grammatical rules. This brings me to the technique that I used to learn Spanish. It is called the "linguistic approach."
The Linguistic Approach To Learning Spanish Like Crazy!
What the linguistic approach means to somebody who wants to learn Spanish like crazy is that a more logical learning process will be used. This process starts by studying the letters and sounds of Spanish. Then in a logical progression those sounds are used to make words then phrases then finally sentences. Doesn't this sound similar to how a child learns to speak? If a child can learn like this then why do we try to make it harder and more complicated than it needs to be? When we were younger we did not over analyze everything. It was just natural to look, listen, and take everything in. Then we learned by taking small steps which progressively got larger. If you just take the same approach to learning a language it won't seem as tough. After all there are more than 250 million people that speak Spanish....how hard can it be?
