What Do I Make My Lens About???


If I've been asked this once, I've been asked this a million times. How do I get ideas for my Squidoo lenses?


I have a simple little (free) process I use to find a TON of GREAT ideas for a Squidoo lens. In fact, I made a short video lesson out of this little system!


It's much easier to learn by WATCHING someone do something, than reading it, isn't it?

Make a Squidoo Lens - Step by Step Instructions - This is one of my older how-to-Squidoo posts. This post will walk you through creating a Squidoo lens - or at least how *I* do it!

If it's been asked once, it's been asked a million times. It's also been asked in a million different ways...

"How do I make HTML links on my lens?"
"How do I make live links for my lens?"
"How do I make words that you click and they go to another page?"
"How do I make anchor links?"
"How do I make my link clickable?"
"What is the code to make words a link?"
"How do I make words on my lens into a link?"

and so on, and so on, and so on.... haha!

When I first started online, I could NOT for the life of me, remember the exact HTML code to make a hyperlink (those words that are 'clickable'). I actually had it written down and TAPED to my computer monitor. Go ahead, laugh at me - but it's true!

Thankfully, there is now a nifty little free tool online that will do it for you. Simply add the words you want to be 'cickable', then add the url of the page you want to words to link to, and PRESTO - words you can click that link to a page!

After using this tool a few (hundred) times, you will be able to make HTML links automatically.

Just a note: For Squidoo lenses and most web pages, you will use the HTML code this tool generates. The BBCode is used in many forums.
