Recorder Tips

Cover the first 3 fingerholes and thumb hole with your left hand. That's G 2nd line on soprano. Put the instrument to your lips with your tongue against your teeth holding the air in. Then release your tongue. Blow steadily but not hard.
T12=A
T1=B

Going down, for F you have to skip one:
T1234-6
E=T12345
D=T123456
C=T1234567

Get that mastered before going into the 2nd octave.

    Yes and I teach it along with a few other instruments.. I learnt it as my first instrument as a kid , from my father and then took further lessons at a music school. My family used to play music in parts whilst on holiday and it was great fun. The recorder is an excellent instrument to start and carry on with or start and move onto another instrument. And it is a very cheap instrument to buy and have a huge amount of fun making music.
