Maybe you're already earning a nice tidy income with ebay, maybe you're brand new and looking for all the advice you can find! Either way, a few pointers on how to improve your ebay income can never go astray right?!
1. First and foremost. Grab your buyers attention! There are a lot of people vying for the shoppers' attention. Make your title relevant to the product, using keywords that you feel will likely be used to search for that item. Consider paying that bit more to feature your listing. It will almost certainly ADD more to your ebay income, than it will take away. Also check your spelling, despite the fact that you can pick up some strays with mispelling...most people will type the correct word and you may not be found at all!
2. Use plenty of clear pictures to display the item. Without the ability to touch, your shoppers need to rely on their sense of sight when considering the purchase. Showing close up snaps, from all angles, in good light, creates a sense of trust that you are not hiding anything from them. Extra Tip: If you have your own domain/webhost, you can host extra images there for buyers to access...without any extra costs!
3. Your description needs to tell a story! Only when you describe, in detail, the product you have for sale, can you really increase your ebay income! Ask yourself what you would want to know if you were buying? Never assume that your visitor knows all about the item that they're looking at. As the buyer, ask yourself every question you would ask...what are the features and benefits of the item? What are the flaws, if any. Is there a definite price for shipping or a way to calculate it? Do you provide refunds? What are the terms for payment? If you do miss anything after all that, be sure to respond promptly and politely to any questions you do receive.
4. Presentation DOES make a difference! Along with your many pictures and detailed story, make your description pleasant to view and easy to understand. Avoid the extremes; Don't get too 'flowery' and over the top, but don't try and pretend you are a huge, impersonal corporation...(unless you are of course;-)). Keep it professional yet friendly. A more personal approach reminds the buyer that they are dealing with a real person, helps them feel more at ease. Customer service is just as important as with any 'brick's and mortar' business...That is a whole extra topic, that we'll deal with another day!
5. Finally, if you want to increase your ebay income, do these two things: Don't set a reserve price! This feature puts people off bidding. If they are constantly guessing what it is you actually want for the item and feel that they are wasting their time bidding in these unknown increments...they will leave and buy somewhere else! If you have a definite figure in mind that you will not drop from...start the bidding from that price, then everyone knows where they stand! Also, be sure to accept paypal! People feel safer using paypal and they find the process simple and convenient, that equals happy (repeat) buyers. It's worth the small cut you give to paypal in the long run.
These 5 tips may seem obvious to the experienced and even the novice. But many times it is the small, seemingly obvious, things that are overlooked. And when neglected, these can have a huge effect on your ebay income!

Auction Selling 101
The How To's Of Ebay.
This is a new membership site devoted to everything Ebay. The three major 'parts' of this membership are:Firstly, the very large, very indepth, step by step, student handbook. This book covers everything, from the history of ebay through to making your full time income solely with ebay and every step, in logical progression, in between.

Learn From 'Mr Ebay' - Jim Cockrum.
Ok, I was going to include this book anyway, because I don't think anyone looking to make money on ebay can afford not to have it. But when I looked to see what was happening in the resource area,where you can get all sorts of free bonus items, ebooks and other recommended resources..I found to my delight that there are now online viewable videos with step through topics such as finding niches, automation, driving traffic etc.You see if you thought ebay was 'just put an item up for auction and try to sell it for more than you paid'..think again! This bestselling ebook is full of ideas and resources to help make a healthy income online using ebay.
Actually the book was first written in 2002. It's now into it's fifth revision and growing with more valuable information everytime. There can be no comparison between Easy Profit Auctions and my earlier review of Auction Selling 101. The first caters to the 'nuts and bolts' of creating a successful ebay business in any area of ebay, particularly with tangible products.Easy Profit Auctions is more of a step by step system showing us how to put together a successful 'information' business using ebay as an avenue for traffic generation and delivery of digital products.
The system is presented in a 'blueprint' style and it is advised that you follow each step as it is laid out, for maximum successful results. Alex Jefferys tells us how he went from being a construction worker to a, very successful, internet marketer using these exact methods and is very sincere when he stresses the importance of following the system.
As such, the system is laid out well and easy to follow with the use of text, audio and video. There are teleseminars, coaching calls and some 30 videos. Also a vast collection of books and more bonuses than I could list, including much of the software he recommends for the automated, digital delivery information system he has created.
Incidently Alex attributes Jim Cockrum, writer of the above reviewed book "Silent Sales Machines Hiding On Ebay" with much of the inspiration for his ebay success, having read the book several times I can see why. Speaking of Jim, he and half a dozen other highly esteemed internert marketers have participated in interviews with Alex that are included in the members area.
When I say membership, I mean that, yes your are a member, welcome to learn from all the valuable resources..worth 10 times the price..available in all of the many sections and subsections of this product. A Decade Of Dealing With Ebay.
Part 1 Where It's Been...
Pierre Omidyar was looking for a spare part one weekend and while going through his own garage it occured to him how many people their must be with the same dilema, unable to find affordable items or wanting to be rid of unwanted items, too good to throw away.
