Netting 

Netting gives an open lacey effect. Other names for this stitch include Victorian Lace and Mexican Lace. There are two ways of doing netting - horizontal and vertical. There is also a form of netting used by the Saraguro people of South America that instead of going through beads, loops the thread between beads.

Peyote Stitch 

Peyote stitch (also known as Gourd Stitch) can be done even-count or odd-count, in flat, flat round, and tubular ways. It can also be done in 2-drop or 3-drop versions. Some of the things it can be used to make are amulet bags, earrings, bracelets, vessels, and in any 3-D form.

Brick stitch is a method where the beads are stacked upright offset like bricks. The thread is threaded through the loop of thread from the beads below, no beads are gone through.     Like Glitter said, I think the original had just the plain "loops" that looked like leaves, but by varying the beads you use, you can create flower buds scattered with your leaves.

    Try the Bead on the Beach link above, the plain Nepal/Biva stitch is the same just without flowers or berries. Hope that helps!
