So, You're Learning Spanish Verbs Online - or trying to!

Verbs and their conjugations (different forms) were one of the most difficult parts for me when I was learning Spanish.  It's a great idea to try learning Spanish verbs online or on CD - it gives you the ability to study anywhere you have your computer, and to go over material as many times as you need.   Here, I'm going to give you some hints and help with some of the Spanish verbs that were hardest for me - and show you some places online where you can get more in depth information.

If you're looking to ramp up your Spanish studies, or even if you're just getting started, check out WebSpanish. , where you can receive one on one live Spanish lessons from a native Spanish speaking tutor.

Learning Spanish Verbs Online - Te Gusta?

The verb 'gustar' was a toughie!

Learning Spanish Verbs OnlineIf there's one verb that gave me a lot of trouble when I first started learning Spanish grammar, that verb was "gustar." Many of the Spanish lessons I read when learning Spanish verbs online only left me more confused than ever! It took me forever to figure out why it's conjugations never seemed to fit. You see, "gustar" literally means "to be pleasing to", but in many instances, Spanish speakers use it the same way that we use the verb "to like."

For example, in Spanish you don't literally say: "I like the dog."

In Spanish you would say: "Me gusta el perro" which you could translate to "the dog is pleasing to me." Literally, it would be "it pleases me the dog", which might sound weird to your English speaking mind - but with time, you get used to it, then one day you'll have that 'A-Ha!!' moment and it all starts making more sense. (by the way, that's my dog in the picture - Te gusta mi perro? lol!)

I'm not sure I ever would have got a handle on Spanish verb conjugations without Web Spanish

Is learning Spanish verbs online enough?

Can you learn everything you need?

Stop! Click Here for More Information! While learning Spanish online with free programs is great if you're just starting out, most of the online sources and methods are ONLY good when you're just starting out. They just aren't as complete and thorough as paid for products, and can't give you as much information. They really only touch the tip of the iceberg, and rarely give you any kind of resources for helping with pronunciation and accents. And let me tell you, it can be really hard to figure out the right way to say things without being able to hear someone else say it first!

That's why I feel like WebSpanish could be just what you need to help master your Spanish verb conjugations! You work one to one with a native Spanish speaker who has been especially trained for teaching online. The course has six levels, to cover everyone from beginners through advanced students. They also supplement the verbal lessons with course work that was created just for Web Spanish. Hey - they've been doing this since 2005 - they know what they're doing!
