Alex Jeffreys built his list from zero into the thousands of people in a very short period of time. He started online in February of 2004 but did not realize the importance of building a list. He had been making money with Ebay, and this required a lot of time and effort.

After attending a seminar in April of 2006 and meeting Tim Knox, Alex realized that list building is the key to making money on the internet.

Alex took his new knowledge and applied his experience with Ebay and created an ebook titled Easy Profit Auctions. The most important lesson he has learned is to build a list by giving quality information for free - he shares this lesson in Post Launch Profit Secrets

How a list will help your business grow.

Having a mailing list is the #1 objective for your online (or offline) business.

Once you have a person's name and email address you can legally mail them information that will help them in some way.

If you have been careful about how you treat your client or prospect they will become valuable customers and provide you with an income.

1. Create a system (or follow a mentor who has built one)

2. Focus on the building a list . . . developing relationships with people so you are building trust.

3. Provide value to the people you are developing relationships with. Give more than you get.

4. Treat the people on your list as you would your friends. Never over-promote to the people on your list.

    Anita, thank you for taking the time to visit with me here.

    I am learning as much if not more from Alex's example on how to provide useful information to people (whether they opt in to your list or not). His course is about the nuts and bolts of creating your squeeze page, product, etc. and about how to maintain the relationships you develop with the people who decide to follow you.

    We all know how important list building is and you summarized it beautifully. What I love about the way internet network marketing works is the value driven information I get to read on a daily basis from others utilizing the methodology of this marketing. Reading others summarizations of what they have learned from others is how I am educating myself and continuously improving upon what I am learning. Thanks for sharing your insights and what you learned from his course. I do not know who he is but I will definitely be checking out what he has to say.

    Thank you for stopping by to read my lens. I am getting so much from his coaching course. Your comment is very much appreciated and I realized that I need to make it easier for people to sign up on my list.

    I re-wrote the "Get Your Free Report" module to make it easier for people to find the link. When you sign up for the report, you'll be on my list. Not to worry, I won't swamp you with useless material. I'll just occasionally send information that I've found helpful.

How to get started building a strong foundation for our business

These simple steps to building your list will catapult your business. However, you must take action.

The most important thing is to adjust your mindset. Where do you stand on a scale of 1-10 as far as being committed to creating a business? If you're really serious, then proceed with the steps outlined here.
