Learning the Spanish alphabet and it's pronunciation will help you enormously, as words in the Spanish language are spelt the same way as they are pronounced, once you learn the letters of the Spanish alphabet things will become a whole lot easier.
There are 27 letters to the Spanish alphabet. There is very little difference between the English and Spanish alphabets, the main one is the addition of the letter ...Ñ ñ - (pronounced enye).
LL ll - (double LL)
CH ch - (che)
are also used alot but it is not part of the official alphabet now - (it used to be). Although quite a few south american spanish speaking countries still use them in their alphabets.

I'm going to write down the list of the letters, how they are said and spelt in Spanish then I am going to do something different, I'm going to write down an English sounding word to help you get an understanding as to how it should really sound. The letters in quotes are the sound 'abc' . (Please comment below if it helps or not - if it's to confusing I will change it).

In this learn spanish alphabet run-through list I've put the sound of the letter in apostrophes ' xx' using an English word as a base to start from, for example a - from arrow in places I have used to words to make up the sound.
