Time for us to learn spanish together

Hello Friends! I wanted to share my journey on learning Spanish with you. In high school I never thought of Spanish as an important subject to learn. So why do I think we need to learn now? Because knowing another language can benefit you in many ways. A lot of companies pay extra dollars for bilingual people to work for them. Not to mention the Spanish population in America is growing more and more everyday. So it would make day to day life much easier to at least know some basic Spanish. So I will go through the basics with you right now. We will learn them together. And then I will tell you where to learn more. So LET"S GO!!!

First things first.......Pronunciation

No Spanish dictionary can help you if you don't learn Spanish Pronunciation. Just the same as learning English or any other language.

*Tip-It is easiest to learn by hearing and repeating out loud. You tube is a great free place to start.

It would be best to start with getting familiar with the Spanish alphabet and the vowel sounds.
There are five vowels in the Spanish language however you only have one possible pronunciation for each.
Some other basic rules:
*The letter z can sound like s in see or th in thin.
*C sounds like is like the Spanish Z (s, or th)
*Q sounds like the c in cat.
*J sounds like the h in hot.
*G sounds like j when it comes before i or e but like a g in any other case.
*H is always silent. (why even have one lol)
*Y sounds like the j in jet.
*LL sounds like the j in jet also and in some types of Spanish like the y in yet.
*The digraph RR is used to force a strongly trilled r between two vowels.

So Spanish might be a tongue twister at first but I think we can get the hang of it.

Basic Conversation

"¡Hola! (Buenos días/Buenas noches). ¿Cómo se llama? Me llamo Natasha. ¿Cómo está? Estoy (bien/mal/cansado/cansada)."
Now let's break down what I just said.
¡Hola! means hello.

¿Cómo se llama? means what's your name?

Me llamo Natasha means my name is Natasha

¿Cómo está? How are you

Estoy means I am

bien/mal/cansado/ means fine/bad/tired/

Now that seems simple enough right. Well the key is remembering. And the key to remembering is practicing.
Below I have included some more you tube videos on basic conversation to get you started.
