Attract Customers With A Good Description!

I am amazed by how some sellers have listings with a one line description, thinking that their item will magically convince buyers to purchase.

Don't do that to your listings! Be sure to be very descriptive in your listings.

Before you list an item, take some time and research how other sellers are listing that same item.

Do they use great descriptions? Do you notice key features being mentioned among the best listings?

Your goal is to pinpoint the listings that have the best layouts. Your job is to try and outdo or at least match the others in terms of the specific language used.

Studies have shown that buyers will often choose one eBay listing over another simply due to the fact that the wording was more descriptive and clearer than other listings for that same product!

You will find that in many instances, you will be going up against 10, 50 or even 100 competitors for that same product. Why not put the odds in your favor? Spend some time on your ad listings and make them really sparkle!

Stellar Customer Service Means Everything!

The only way to sustain a long term eBay business is to not only have customers but happy customers. It will do wonders for your repeat business (and of course, eBay Feedback).

Be sure to respond to all customer inquiries as soon as you can. Potential buyers will email you from time to time and if you do not respond to them, they will go elsewhere.

Also, communicate with all of the winners of your auctions as soon as the auctions are over. Be sure to contact them again after you have received payment with them.

Sellers appreciate buyers that look out for them and e-mail is THE best way to impact all new customers so make the most of it.

Let Your Titles Grab Them!

The title is the most important piece of real estate on your listing and yet, you only get 55 characters to work within your listing's title.

How you use those 55 can make or break your listing.

When attracting customers, the first thing that they will see is your item's title. So you have to reach as many people as possible.

Most people with find your listings by searching the brand name and model number. Be sure to list the complete product name and model in the title. If there's any space remaining, comment on condition ("new in box", "mint condition", etc.)

Don't use cutesy wording like "Wow!" or "L@@K". It does not help win buyers over and in fact will turn many away.
