Pimsleur language is a very powerful system. The only reason it is ranked number 3 is because it relies in mostly auditory learning. But do not think this system lacks in ability to enable you to speak French. It is just that most people prefer a language learning program that includes both audio and graphical presentations.
Many people prefer to see pictures and read text as they learn. But even if you think Pimsleur's audio approach is not for you - you might be mistaken. I have found it to be more effective for me then those with fancy graphics.
"No other language program is as quick, convenient and effective - in just 30 days you can be speaking a new language with the confidence of an expert!" That quote is from the Pimsleur site and really is true.
And that is with just 30 minutes a day!
