Learn Stock Trading

If you want to learn stock trading be prepared for a long journey.

I'm not trying to discourage you here, I just want to keep it real.

While there are always exceptions to the rule for the vast majority of successful traders there was a learning curve.

You have to pay your dues so to speak and you can take that quite literally because odds are you will lose money before you make money in trading.

A common maxim is that you are doing very well in your quest to learn how to trade if you break even in your first year of trading.

Disappointed? Well like I said I want to keep it real.

Think about this for a moment...

How long did it take your doctor to become proficient enough to practice medicine?

How about an architect? Do you think they began designing buildings after reading a book?

Did you start your career knowing everything you needed to know in order to do your job successfully?

Trading is no different than any other profession. It takes skill but it is a skill that can be learned.

It also takes emotional control in order to trade successfully. In fact, the skills required in learning to trade can be taught to just about anybody as proved by the famous Turtle Traders from the 80's.

Being able to control one's emotions is the hard part and many top traders still struggle with this aspect of trading on a regular basis.

Like anything else in life, trading stocks is not for everyone but for those willing to learn it can be a very rewarding experience.
