Why Be A Professional Network Marketer?
What's your reaction when I write:
PROFESSIONAL. What does that make you think? Someone who gets up, dresses up, travels to an office, works all day and maintains an image of earning a lot of money. Usually, though, they are drowning in debt, are eaten up with maintaining the image of prosperity and are sacrificing their family time to do so. Ask them about time freedom...they don't know what it is. Remember, these are folks who were trained 4-10 years, during which they often received no income,
NETWORK MARKETER. Choose one of two:
1. An Ordinary Joe, like you and me, who has the courage to follow his dreams, do something different but jumps into the first company that waves big promises at him. Ordinary Joe does what he's told. He makes lists, talks to everyone he encounters, buys leads, makes cold calls, turns to his upline for support only to be told to go out and "say less to more people." He works and works until his dreams fade and he ends up quitting...then he raises his fist in anger blaming network marketing in general for being bad. It doesn't work! He then tucks his tail and sadly heads back to the work-a-day world.
or, my choice:
2. An Ordinary Joe who has the courage to follow his dreams, do something different, follow a system to ensure his success, is coachable, teachable, and has linked with a company that is a 5 Pillar Company (that is crucial!). This Ordinary Joe starts out part-time and is trained while building the business and earning income. Ordinary Joe has coaches, mentors to help him build. He is not on his own. Successful network marketing takes a team.
PROFESSIONAL NETWORK MARKETER. Now, that's my kind of definition! Roll out of bed at the time you choose and, when you are ready, take the stroll to your office just down the hall. Life's great! You are debt-free, financially free, generating the income your family deserves, and living a life most people only dream of. In other words:
DO WHAT YOU WANT, WHEN YOU WANT, WITH WHOM YOU WANT,
AND WITH NO RECOURSE.
This is why I am striving to be a professional network markerter again and you should be striving to be a PROFESSIONAL NETWORK MARKETER also! Find a 5 Pillar Company, be teachable, find a mentor, and join a supportive team. Build it big, build it right and build it to last a lifetime. Build it for your children and grandchildren. Do Your Work Once And Get Paid For A Lifetime!

Do you really want success in your life and your business?
Most people don't! WHAT do I mean?
Most people die with their music still in them. Ben Franklin said, "Most men die at age 25, but they aren't buried until age 65!"
What does this mean? I think what Ben meant was, when we give up on our dreams, we quit expecting to live the good life.
Twenty-five years in network marketing and achieving financial freedom by age 40 have taught us some valuable life lessons.
I promise you this, I can share with you how to accomplish a lifetime's worth of work in only 2-3 years, part-time from your home, and on the internet.
Your time is your most valuable asset! It is our hope that the few minutes you spend reading my story will save you years of business failure and frustration.
Best selling author Jim Rohn says that traditional education will make you a living, while self-education and systems will make you rich. I'm proof positive of this fact, and why you must never, never quit, and never ever give up on your dreams!
My Real Story
I was born in 1951 into a large dysfunctional family and started out sleeping in the attic crawl space in a small frame house in Cleveland, Ohio.
I remember my mother beating me at age 4 in her kitchen, after I told her I was too scared to sleep in the attic crawl space by myself. My two older brothers, Bruce (6) and Jim (8), both in school, had just moved into a small bedroom our dad added onto the house, along with my younger brother Timothy (2). My mother was pregnant with my youngest brother Kenneth.
During this beating she told me I was no good, ugly, stupid, and would never amount to anything. I remember thinking, "How could I not be any good, I'm only 4 years old?" She didn't answer. She just sent me to sleep in the crawl space.
Never underestimate the power of kind, positive words that you yourself have shared with your own family and friends.
"Always focus on the positive"!
You become what you think about most of the time. My father's sister, Aunt Honey, would hug me and tell me how much she loved me. She'd say I was smart & handsome, and she was proud of me. She told me that I could do anything I wanted to do with my life.
With all the negative things in my young life, the positive information my Aunt gave me is what I chose to believe and focus on.
We moved away from my Aunt when I was 7, but all her love and positive thoughts and attitudes stayed with me.
The abuse got worse from age 7 to 14. Bleeding, watery welts from beatings, and never-ending verbal abuse. But I kept a positive attitude. I got straight A's in school and worked in my father's auto garage weekends and after school.
When you focus on the posititive, there is no room for ANY negative.
The more I worked with my father the closer our relationship became. This seemed to intensify my mother's hatred for me.
At age 14 I accepted the Lord as my personal savior, and turned everything over to him. From age 14 to 16 while keeping my grades up, I excelled in school sports. The coaches said I was the best they had ever seen. They told me I'd definitely get a college athletic scholarship.
At age 16, my parents took me out of school in the 9th grade to work full time in my father's auto garage. This was hard to deal with, because I thought a high school diploma was the path to freedom and success.
I know the Lord will never give you more than you can handle. As his Gift to me at age 16 while working in my fathers garage, I met my soul mate Linda, age 15.
We have been married for over 33 years. Linda is more than my best friend. She has given me my favorite son Matthew, 20, and my favorite daughter Amanda, 18.
When I asked my parents to be paid for working in the garage, my mother told me that I was ungrateful and kicked me out of the house at age 16.
A fork in the road of life.
After sleeping in my car the first night with no money, no food, and no home, I knew I needed a job.
As I drove down the road looking for a job, I came to a fork in the road. Left would take me to Clearwater, right to Palm Harbor. I turned right and got hired that day delivering lumber.
After I learned all about lumber types and sizes, I got a second job working the night shift building roof trusses. After I learned about all the roof types, pitches, and how to build them, I quit my day job delivering lumber, and got a job as a carpenters helper.
Life for my brothers and sisters living at home worsened. I lost my younger brother Timothy and my older brother Bruce because of the abuse. God rest their souls.
After I learned how to build houses by learning the carpentry and the business end, I started my own carpentry framing business at age 19.
For me turning right, not left at the fork in the road gave me my trade. This trade enabled me to build thousands of homes, as well as our own dream home.
My intention of telling you my story is not to make you feel bad. Hopefully, you can see clearly how using my life lessons made it possible for us to eventually have such great success in network marketing.
After becoming debt free at 40 years old with a $500,000.000 estate, I realized that no high school diploma or formal education had anything to do with my success. It had everything to do with self-education, developing success systems, and life lessons that I learned.
On June 1, 1995, 28 years after my parents took me out of school, I received my high school diploma with a passing grade of 283. 300 is the highest score, and you can pass with a 200.
So again my life lessons, self education, with systems we developed is why we now have a life that most people only dream about.

To tell you the honest truth neither my life or my network-marketing career were what I considered to be a stellar success as little as 12 months ago. In short since I met Michael and his success team at Mentoring For Free and began the long arduous trip out of failure and despair last year both my personal life and my network-marketing career have been completely turned. I was blessed to make a connection with Michael through his E-Book; this was the beginning of my journey to success.
My travels from MLM failure to MLM failure to finally arrive at success began in 2002. I was new to computers, had just bought my first one and within weeks I was getting all of these e mails from so called "Gurus" promising me the secrets to unlock untold wealth simply for buying their secret.
Well, that began a buying spree of Secrets and my joining many programs that lasted over 4 years and which eventually ran up a credit card bill into the thousands of dollars. I swallowed, hook, line and sinker and really believed all the hype, lies and deception. I joined 14 different Network Marketing companies. However, I knew in my heart of hearts that this could work. All I had to do was find out what I was doing wrong. How wrong I was about my perceptions of network marketing back then, simply amazes me today
How I eventually learned the Truth and that it was not my fault was through this Life Changing E Book, Michaels Mentoring, Coaching, and the support of every member of the Mentoring For Free Team. Okay, so Your probably saying nope can't be that simple, yup I said the same thing.
A few days after I had read the e book I was invited to attend a Skills Call the following Saturday, the topic was the "5 Pillars To Success", how to choose a company or opportunity based on 5 attributes that the company must have in place in order for you to be successful. Each "pillar" is described and discussed in detail so that we all have a very clear understanding of what to look for in a company that we are looking at. As I sat and listened I could plainly see WHY MY Lack of success had not been my fault. For the first time in five years, I was able to understand where and how the cards were stacked against me in each of the MLM companies I had attempted to promote.
My next series of Aha moments came as I listened to Michael as he hosted the Wednesday 3 pm EDT and 8 pm EDT Mental Cleanse call . This call is highly recommended for clearing the excessive chatter that we experience in our minds. Developing more focus and calmness so that we are more effective and can hear our own small voice speak clearly to us (our intuition). The Mental Cleanse call is a Mastermind session that reads from the book by Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich. A chapter is read each week and then what each participant got from the chapter is written about and discussed on the call. This program is mandatory for my success. I have learned more about myself and my belief in my desire to have success soared as a result of participating in these sessions.
Following the Saturday Skills call is the Coaches Corner Leaders call. This is a mastermind session for the leaders who truly desire success. It is by attending these sessions that I stay grounded and I am able to mastermind with a group of like minded people . Michael and his Mentoring for Free program has literally changed my life in a matter of weeks. I realized that my lack of success was not my fault. He showed me with an amazing clarity what I needed to do to become successful.
I decided back in 2002 to never give up until I achieved my dreams, with the help of Michael and Linda and the Mentoring for Free team, I have arrived and I now have a life that others only dream of. - Thank you for sharing what was a most troubled childhood. Being from a home not to different from yours I understand more than can be said. My route was the Air Force at age 16 and from the construction also. I am just starting out with the whole MLM thing and hope I chose right. Time will tell. But knowing 1st hand that someone has made it from the same background that I have rekindles the spark to push on and not give up. Thank you very much. - Excellent angle. I can really get excited about an alternative to the corporate world that is a solid and real option. Network marketing really is the new doctor/lawyer occupation, or dare I say far superior!
