Off season shopping is the best way to invest in clothing. Many clothing companies and even the more expensive department stores will mark down most items to make room for the new seasons that are coming in. Nice clothes can be purchased even up to 90% off and a lot of styles will still be in style the same time next year. Shopping off season will save consumers a lot of money when money is so tight. Good for them, not always so good for the retailer. Retailers make up for this loss when regular priced items are sold as well. Less expensive chain stores have nice lines of clothing, too. Some, however, may look quite nice but are poorly made in order to be sold at the smaller price.
