LeBron James: High School Years
Lebron James started his basketball journey at St. Vincent - St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio. His freshman year, Lebron was named the starting small forward for the Fighting Irish team. That year he averaged 21 ppg. and 6.2 rpg., helping his team to a 27-0 record, and the Divison III state championship of Ohio. LeBron's sophomore year wasn't much different. He led his St. Vincent - St. Mary team to a 26-1 record, racking up another Division III championship, while averaging 25.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 3.8 steals per game. He was the first and is still the only sophomore ever to be named Ohio's Mr. Basketball, and was also the first sophomore to be named to the USA Today All-USA First Team. His junior year of high school, LeBron kept crushing the competition. He averaged 29 points and 8.3 rebounds per game, but lost in the Division II championship game to Cincinnati Roger Bacon High School. After his junior year, LeBron tried to petition the NBA to become eligible for the draft, but the League denied his petition. However, this gained him nation-wide attention, and even got some of his high school games his senior year televised on ESPN 2. His senior year, LeBron got into some deep trouble with the OHSAA (Ohio High School Athletic Association) for accepting an $80,000 Hummer H2 for his birthday, and for accepted 2 throwback jerseys from the urban clothing store NEXT, in exchange for posing for pictures. This violated the OHSAA's rule that no high school athlete could accept a gift over $100 as a reward for athletic performance. As a result, he was suspended for 2 games, and his Fighting Irish team had to forfeit a game, which ended up being their only loss of the season. LeBron again led his team to the Ohio state title, and was again selected as Mr. Basketball of the state of Ohio. He also earned the MVP of the McDonald's All Star game. LeBron James finished his high school career with 2,657 points, 892 rebounds, and 523 assists.LeBron James Singed High School Jersey

From High School Phenom to NBA Star
LeBron James was the first overall draft pick of the 2003 NBA draft to the Cleveland Cavaliers. LeBron's first NBA game was versus the Sacramento Kings, in which he racked up 25 points, 6 rebounds, and 9 assists. The following 2003-2004 season proved to be a great season for LeBron. His season high was scored against the New Jersey Nets, in which he put up 41 points, becoming the youngest player in the NBA to score more than 40 points. James also achieved the NBA Rookie of the Year, making him the first Cavalier ever to achieve this award. The Cavaliers finished the season 35-47, and failed to make the playoffs. The next year, Cleveland failed to reach the playoffs yet again, but LeBron became the youngest person ever to be selected to the NBA All-Star game, and also become the youngest person in the NBA to ever get a triple-double, score 50 points, or be selected to the All-NBA Team. In the 2005-2006 season, James was again selected to the All-Star team , and became the youngest person to win the All-Star Game MVP, at 21 years and 51 days. LeBron finished the season averaging 31.6 points, 7 rebounds and 6.6 assists a game. LeBron and the Cavaliers finished the season at 50-32, and finally achieved a playoff berth. LeBron's playoff debut versus the Washington Wizards ended with a Cavalier victory, 97-86, and LeBron scoring a triple-double, with 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. The Cavaliers ended up winning the series 4-2, and faced the Detroit Pistons in the second round of the NBA playoffs. The Cavaliers lost this series in 6 games, and LeBron finished the playoffs averaging 30.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 5.8 assists. The 2006-2007 was by far LeBron's most successful season to date. He was again selected to the NBA All-Star game, and finished the season scoring 27.3 points per game, getting 6.7 rebounds per game, and 6.1 assists per game, joining Oscar Robinson as the only player in NBA history to average 27 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists for 3 years straight. LeBron and the Cavs advanced to the playoffs for the second straight year, where they defeated the Washington Wizards in a 4 game sweep in the first round. In the second round, the Cavaliers defeated the New Jersey nets 4-2, in which LeBron averaged 25 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 8.6 assists in the series. In the Eastern Conference Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers face the Detroit Pistons. After losing the first 2 games of the series, LeBron rallied the Cavaliers to defeat the Pistons in 6 games, including a game 5 performance in which LeBron scored 48 points, including Clevelands last 29 of 30 points in the memorable double-overtime victory over Detroit in which some commentators said was one of the most memorable playoff performances of all-time. But in the NBA Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers met their match. The San Antonio Spurs swept the Cavaliers in 4 games, in which LeBron averaged 22 points and 7 rebounds a game. The next year, LeBron led the Cavaliers to the 2 round of the NBA palyoffs, in which they were defeated by the eventual NBA champion Boston Celtics in 6 games. LeBron James 48 points Detroit Pistons (22 yrs old) Playoffs
(Rare interview about his big game with legendary coach and great inspirational leader, John Thompson) LeBron James 48 points vs Detroit Pistons (22 years old) AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- LeBron James grimaced, limped up to the podium and plopped into a chair behind a microphone. It was the only time he looked human all night. James had already used every ounce of energy to put together one of the most spectacular performances in playoff history, lifting the Cleveland Cavaliers to the verge of their greatest season. James' career playoff-high 48 points -- including his team's final 25 and 29 of its final 30 -- carried Cleveland within a win of the NBA finals for the first time in franchise history with a 109-107 double-overtime victory over the Detroit Pistons on Thursday night. After the breathtaking display of talent and will gave the Cavs a 3-2 lead in the Eastern Conference finals, the 22-year-old star said he felt terrible. "I'm banged up. I'm winded. I'm fatigued," he said. "I've got all day tomorrow. It's going to be tough to get some rest when you got a crazy, 2-year-old running around the house. So hopefully, I can take him to one of his grandma's house." James has the playoff-tested Pistons on the brink of going home. Game 6 is Saturday night in Cleveland and if necessary, Game 7 will be Monday night back at The Palace of Auburn Hills. If James can come remotely close to what he did Thursday night, the series might not return to Michigan. The San Antonio Spurs, who eliminated Utah on Wednesday, have a week off before hosting Game 1 of the NBA finals. James made a go-ahead layup with 2.2 seconds left and Detroit's Chauncey Billups missed a shot in the lane on the ensuing possession. It was one of the many driving shots that James made look easy. "Why should I be surprised? I was making a lot of great moves," James said. "They are definitely a great defensive team, but I was determined to attack." The Pistons blew a seven-point lead with 3:15 left in regulation and lost the third straight game in the series after winning the first two at home. Detroit can only hope the series ends like its last postseason matchup with the Cavs. The Pistons won the first two games of the conference semifinals last year, then lost three straight and needed to win on the road and then at home in Game 7. Detroit, with four of the same starters, also advanced in the 2004 and 2005 playoffs after trailing 3-2. "We've been here before a lot of times," Billups said. "We've got to lock in and win one game." James was 18-of-33 from the field, making two 3-pointers, and 10-of-14 from the free throw line. He also had nine rebounds, seven assists and two steals in a performance that might end up be a defining game of his career. He was the only Cavs player to make a field goal in the last 17:48 and the only one to score in the final 12:49. "We tried to trap him and get it out of his hands, but he attacked," Pistons coach Flip Saunders said. "We'll definitely have to do something different next time." James put Billups on the line with 3.1 seconds left and he made two free throws to make it 100-all. The Cavs have prided themselves on not being a one-man show, but James just about did it alone against a team in the conference finals for the fifth straight year. "We threw everything we had at him," Billups said. "We just couldn't stop him." James simply took over late in regulation and in both overtimes, choosing to attack the basket with driving layups and dunks instead of deferring to teammates. "I was able to will my team to victory," James said. "This is definitely a big win, one of the biggest wins in Cavaliers' franchise history. For me and my teammates, it's definitely the biggest win. "But we have a goal, we can't dwell on this when we have another game on Saturday. We have got to do our best to try to win that ballgame and get where we wanted to be all year." James scored 32 more points than Cleveland's second-leading scorer, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, who fouled out with 16 points. "Somebody told me in the locker room that he scored 29 of our last 30 points and I could not believe it," Cavs coach Mike Brown said. "Everybody keeps asking for more, and he keeps giving more. "I feel bad that my words don't do justice for what he did." James' previous playoff high, in just two postseasons, was a 45-point performance against Washington in the first round last year that set a franchise record. Richard Hamilton scored 26, Chauncey Billups had 21 and Chris Webber scored 20. Rasheed Wallace had 17 points and Tayshaun Prince added 10. It wasn't enough to deny James. "It's frustrating," Billups said. "He put on an unbelievable display out there. It's probably the best I have seen against us ever in the playoffs."
