LED's Light Up Your Boating Life
There are many reasons for owning a boat. Some people like to water ski, some like to fish and some people like to just ride around and relax or party on there boat. No matter what your reason is for owning a boat there has always been one drawback. Once the sun goes down you have to call it a day and head back to the dock. Lets face it, the ocean or a big lake can get pretty dark, spooky and dangerous at night. Yea, turning on your inboard lights will help you see whats in your boat, but they make it hard to see what's around your boat creating a safety hazard. The light output is also poor and they drain your battery so quickly you can only stay out a couple of hours.
Night Fishing
Many people like to fish from there boat at night. Crappie, striped bass and hybrid bass bite best at night in lakes. Fishing for grouper, snapper, snook, swordfish and many other ocean fish is also excellent at night. The best way to draw these fish in is to deploy a light into the water, but this can be a real pain. You have to buy a bulky light, store it, then remember to bring it with you. If you do remember to bring it you have to hook it up to your battery and hope it doesn't come loose and float away. Floating fishing lights don't put out very much light and they drain your battery quickly. When the fish are biting the last thing you want to do is have to leave because your battery is getting low.
Relax Under The Stars
Many other people would like nothing better then to set anchor off the coast or in the middle of a lake and just relax. It's a great way to get away from the stress of the day and enjoy some quiet time in the cool night air with a sky full of stars and the serenity of the water. But again, lighting is a concern. Most inboard lights do a poor job of providing adequate amounts of light to see by. Safety is also a concern when anchored at night. Coast Guard regulations require a red and green bow light and white stern light be lit whenever you are on the water at night. Still, any extra amount of illumination would go a long way to improve night time safety. You also have to be concerned about how long your battery will last when running inboard lighting. Inboard lighting can drain your battery quickly and possibly leave you stranded.
Underwater LED's...Lots Of Light For Little Power
The solution to both of these problems is underwater LED boat lights. They light up the water around your boat with up to 2,000 lumens of light. More then enough light to draw in fish, let you see what you are doing and let you be seen at night. Best of all, they use so little power, you can run them all night with ought worrying about draining your battery.

Surface Mounted Underwater LED Boat Lights
Surface mount underwater LED boat lights are mounted to the surface of your boats hull, usually on the transom. They require only one small hole to be drilled through the hull for the lights power cable and two other holes into the hull for mounting screws. They are held in place using these screws and silicone or marine grade adhesive. This same adhesive is used in and around the power cable hole to protect against water seepage. Surface mount lights use light emitting diodes for there light source. LED's allow manufacturers to house the lights in an exceptionally thin enclosure.
