I LOVE READING LEE CHILD NOVELS
My local library has a service called "Book Your Favorites". This service allows one to choose their favorite author or authors and automatically be put on the reserve list for any new book this author publishes.
Lee Child is one of mine. I never have to worry about missing a new Jack Reacher Novel.
I also love film (artsy-farts video).
Videos are such a great way to get to know the authors. When authors are being interviewed they sometimes reveal facts about the characters or themselves. I don't know about you, but I like to visualize the people and places I am reading about. With the author's help in the interview, I can do this!
I often choose books set in places I have visited or lived. For example, I discovered the author John D. MacDonald while on vacation at Santibel Island in Florida more than 25 years ago. I went into a local bookstore and asked the owner if they could recommend a book for me that had a local flavor. The result was Deep Blue Good-by.
How did I find Lee Child? By browsing the library, of course.
When I saw the book Echo Burning on the shelf, I picked it up, saw it was set in Texas, and decided to read it. I had lived in Texas as a teen. As stated before, I love to read books set in familiar surroundings.
This book turned out to be a really good choice. It has suspense, sex-appeal, and Jack Reacher!

- Adrian McKinty and Lee Child
Both Lee Child and Adrian McKinty have an honored place in my little red wagon full of great reading. These two authors, McKinty and Child, have created characters that I find extremely likeable. The two leading characters, McKinty's Michael Forsythe and Child's Jack Reacher, have a lot in common.
