It was almost by accident that my life took this wonderful turn - in fact my meeting with the unnamed orange monocular was pure serendipity and it was love at first lens. Now I am completely addicted to this love for Squidoo, and happy to spread the word. I became a Giant Squid July 1, 2008.

How I Fell In Love With Squidoo
Do I love Squidoo? Oh yes, I do.Here's the short version of how I became a Squidoo lensmaster (and grew into a GIANT SQUID).
I'm a geeky grandma who makes clip art, writes freelance articles, and thrives on web marketing. I was reading my server logs like a good SEO code warrior one day when I spotted some traffic that originated from a Squidoo lens. Now, I've been building web sites since 1996, so I'm familiar with most of the usual traffic origins for my web sites and (more recently) my blogs.
Well, after I landed on the referral page, I was impressed, so I checked out the system and tested the Squidoo community waters as a newbie lensmaster. After only a few weeks I got caught up in the whole Squidoo community like, well, like a hooked fish. In just over year I've built more than 70 Squidoo lenses on topics that interest me.
OK! I admit it! I'm addicted to Squidoo. It's a far worse compulsion than my lifelong love for caffeine and chocolate. But it's a lot easier to manage my growing school of lenses than it is to manage 4 big web sites on 2 web servers (not to mention more cost-effective) and a half-dozen or more blogs.
