One of the most memorable scenes in the holiday movie A Christmas Story is when Ralphie's father receives his prize for solving a crossword puzzle. The "major award" turns out to be a leg lamp, complete with a fishnet stocking. The old man is ecstatic: "What a great lamp! Oh wow!" Ralphie's mom is horrified when he decides to put his major award on display in the front window for the whole neighborhood to see.
