Lego City Construction Site Set

The Lego City Construction set is a fun set (like most of the Lego City sets are) and can be played with for hours and hours after the construction is all finished. This was especially appreciated by my cousins who's dad owns a building company as they were busy running their own construction site - it was nearly as entertaining just listening to them than it was building it. That's saying something as I love the building part of Lego.

This Lego City set contains 898 pieces and they include -

• 3 vehicles - a digger, delivery truck and crane


• 5 minifigures - 4 builders and 1 deliveryman


• Moving elevator


• A shop that needs to be built

It's hardly surprising that this set has won two awards as it really is great. The awards that it has won are -

Let's look at some of the pieces in more detail -

Digger

The digger can be driven by one of the minifigures that comes with the set, the cockpit seat actually rotates which is awesome. The treads move and there is also a yellow bucket attached which helps with the lifting and dumping of soil - an essential on a building site of any description.

Crane

The crane measures 17" long and 13" high and has room for three of the minifigures inside - two in the driver's seat and one at the crane controls. It has a rotating base and works just as you'd expect a crane to work.

Extra Goodies

There are lots of little extras that come with this Lego City construction set and they include hand held radios for the minifigures which is very handy when they're trying to construct the shop or do any other job onsite. There are also shovels, hooks, and chains, which are essential on any building city Lego or otherwise.
