Legos and Dinosaurs, a Perfect Combination!

Kids love dinosaurs. They also love Legos. When I worked at a day care center, I found the coolest Legos: dinosaur Legos. I had never seen Legos like these before in the stores.

Although I had never seen anything like these Legos before, they were some of the most popular Legos in the classroom. The kids would fight over who could play with what dinosaur.

Although you can't find these dinosaurs in the stores, they do sell them on Amazon.com. In addition to the Duplo Legos that I saw, they make Dinaosaur Legos for older kids too! These toys provide hours of fun for dinosaur fans.

Most of these dinosaur sets have now become extinct... err... discontinued. They are still great toys. Because they are no longer made, they do cost more than your average Legos, and some may be out of stock at times. If you plan on getting one of these toys for Christmas, I recommend that you get them when you can find them.

Lego Duplo Dinosaur Set

This 95 piece set has enough dinosaur pieces to keep your 2 to 5 year old busy for quite a while! At the day care center where I worked, kids would like to play with the "mommy" and "baby" dinosaurs. This set comes with several kinds of dinosaurs, and palm trees.

Lego Dino Valley

This set comes with one of the scariest dinosaurs of all, the T-Rex! This set has 52 pieces, and comes with cave men and a cave for them to live in. The cave men can go fishing in their canoe. I think that this might have been the set we had at our day care.

This set is for ages 3-6. It has some smaller parts than the main Duplo Dinosaur set.

Lego Dinosaur Trap Set

This set also comes with a cave man and a Tyrannosaurus Rex, but in this set, the cave man can drop falling rocks on the dinosaur to trap him! He can also ride on the T-Rex's back, if he's brave enough.

Lego Creator Monster Dino

This Lego set has instructions to create a Monster Dino, a crawling spider, or a crocodile. It comes with an engine and a battery pack so you can animate the creatures.

Lego Creator Prehistoric Power

Older children can build their own dinosaurs. This set will build eight different dinosaur models, using the provided directions. It will only build one model at a time though. This set will build a woolly mammoth, triceratops, parasarolophus, tyrannosaurus rex, stegosaurus, pteranodon, velociraptor, and a brachiosaurus.
