Star Wars Lego brings out Fifteen new sets for 2011
Lego Star Wars for 2011 has landed. Some sets were released in January 2011 but there are still more to come half way through the year. My boys love Star Wars lego and we will certainly be purchasing some of these sets throughout the year, to add to their collection. I wanted to take a look at lego Star Wars 2011 reviews to give me an idea of which one to choose and then I wanted to share my findings with you.
Here you will find images, details and reviews on all the lego Star Wars 2011 releases including the ones that are already out and the ones that are yet to come. I love how lego just keep expanding this range and getting an extension on the licence that they have with Star Wars. In my son, Harry's class at school it is now the talk in the playground as to who has already got or is getting which Star Wars Lego 2011 set. Which one are you getting ?
LEGO Star Wars Bounty Hunter Assault Gunship
Lego 7930
LEGO Star Wars Bounty Hunter Assault Gunship 7930 is on a mission to capture the Jedi Knights. It has an opening cockpit, a prison cell to keep the captured Jedi, rotating engines for landing and flying modes, and laser cannons. The set comes with all new bounty hunters Aurra Sing, IG, Embo and Sugi.
LEGO Star Wars Bounty Hunter Assault Gunship 7930 goes well with LEGO Star Wars T-6 Jedi Shuttle 7931. With the two sets together the Bounty Hunters can hunt down the Jedi's in their shuttle.
Includes 389 lego pieces.
Liquidjester from Massachusetts says, this is a great Set, and features some great minifigures.
The box is quite long. Just about two feet long.
(NEW) Sugi:
This sassy little figure has some great detail on her head, with horns printed on her face. The torso shows a red vest and accompanied by grey pants. She is toting a knife and gun, and is new to the scene.
Assassin Droid:
If you have owned any previous ones, then this ones is going to be much the same. Including rifle.
(NEW) Embo:
This hunter looked a lot like Cad Bane at first glimpse, but he is very different. Printing on his hat, which is a round lego piece; on his face, showing a mask; great detail on his torso, showing a breast plate and ammo; and once agin printing on his pants. He carries a crossbow.
Out of all the minifigures in this set - he is by far my favorite because of his detail, and probably one that is going to be the most valuable because of that reason.
(NEW) Aurra Sing:
This hunter has unique hair. There are not many minifigures you see with a top knot. The printing on her face is the normal, depicting feminine eyes and mouth. Her torso shows a orange vest with ammo and knife pouches. Her legs have nice detail showing gun straps for the two guns in her hands.
The overall construction is not too hard. This is mainly due to the fact that large plates (all different shapes) are used for the majority of the outside pieces. You do have to build in all directions, so you should keep that in mind for the kids.
This is one set that has pieces that stand out from others. Which should make it easier to find them in a big pile of Legos.
As far as play quality is concerned, it is sturdy in the wings and rear of the plane. The engines rotate vertical and horizontal. However, the front cockpit has a chance of falling off during those steep sky dives after a good long amount of breaking in.
All in All, well worth the price tag.

LEGO Star Wars T-6 Jedi Shuttle 7931 and the Jedi are having to defend themselves against bounty hunters. The shuttle includes a detachable cockpit that transforms into an escape pod, flick missiles and a rotating wing for flying mode which all make the job of battling against the bounty hunters easier.
The set comes with ObiWan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and all new Saesee Tiin and Jedi Masters Shaak Ti.

R Wells "MC" from California says, private sellers charge too much. This kit is available at walmart and lego shop for under twenty bucks. Double check this private sellers price and see how much it's marked up.
Besides the private seller mark-up, this is a great kit. Black and gray color scheme and a silver astromech! how cool is that? Fun for the six year old and Dad. Imperial pilot mini fig is a bonus. This kit is a must for all Star Wars LEGO fans.

LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack

LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack 7914 allows you to create your own Mandalorian army and take the battle onto the Clone Army. It includes a Mandalorian Speeder for zooming along, a blaster turret and four Mandalorian trooper minifigures. Each member of the Mandalorian army has their own unique weapon, one being a sniper rifle.
The set contains 68 pieces. Lego recommends Star Wars Lego set, Star Wars Clone Trooper Battle Pack 7913 to go with this box set.
Justin Gaines from Northern Virginia says, so far my Lego-loving son has stayed away from prequel-related Lego Star Wars sets, but when he saw the new Mandalorian Battle Pack it was a matter of seconds before he had surrendered his allowance. He loves Boba Fett and Jango Fett, and those minifigures aren't easy to come by outside of larger, more expensive sets. Now he has four minifigures with the distinctive Mandalorian armor.
Complexity: With just 68 pieces, this was a pretty easy set to build. My son assembled the minifigures while I put together the little speeder and the battle platform. The speeder is actually pretty neat, but you're obviously buying this set for the minifigures.
Playability: It's a bunch of little dudes that look like Boba Fett! Of course it's a fun set to play with. My son has decided that (a) they're all bad guys, and (b) their names are Jango Fett (makes sense) plus Bob, Bill and Frank Fett. Not that it matters, since they all received a sound thrashing from his Lego Luke Skywalker! Side note - the figures all have the same face under the helmet, and that face is way creepy.
My son absolutely loves these figures, and had no problem integrating them with the rest of his Lego Star Wars collection. I'm guessing the LEGO Star Wars Clone Trooper Battle Pack 7913 will be his next purchase.

LEGO Star Wars Clone Trooper Battle Pack

LEGO Star Wars Clone Trooper Battle Pack 7913 allows you to build up the Clone Army and be prepared for the Mandalorians. (Just a tip for the Clones - watch out for the Sniper gun). The set includes a BARC speeder, two new bomb squad Clone Troopers, the ARF Clone Trooper and the Clone Commander.
Lego recommends Star Wars Lego set, Mandalorian Battle Pack 7914 to go with this set.
Set contains 85 lego pieces
Liquidjester from Massachusetts says, Lego Star Wars during the first two years were printing designs on all parts of the minifigures, and for whatever the reason was went in a more simplistic approach in the following years. It appears that 2010 and 2011 are the years to bring back the tradition.
ARF Trooper:
This figure has a great helmet, and I mean great. The detail is amazing. He comes with the more traditional Clone trooper torso and pants. To complete it he has a long rifle.
Clone Trooper:
This figure has a green colored Traditional Clone Trooper torso. The matching printed pants are great. These bring back memories of the Storm Troopers from the Shuttle in the early 2000s. He has a clone helmet to match.
Bomb Squad Troopers:
Very bright and colorful. The orange design is printed on top of the Clone Trooper printed pieces but still interesting. Again same type of Helmet and guns as usual.
The Clone Troopers are not for the traditionalist, but the Kids. These are also great to add to a minifigure collection.
The vehicle is a fun build. It takes the usual Star Wars build technique where pieces are built on the sides and in round about positions. But one of the the more fun simplistic builds I have done.

LEGO Star Wars **Special Edition Set** Battle for Geonosis

LEGO Star Wars **Special Edition** Battle for Geonosis allows you to help Luminara Unduli and Captain Rex take on the droid army. - You put a lot of work into this lens - lots of info. I love Star Wars and my daughter was really into it and has tons of action figures and some Legos. Only now I think she's grown out of it, sadly!
