The best toy that your child will never outgrow.
If you can only afford one toy, make it LEGOS. Both my boy had Duplos from the very beginning, and graduated up to LEGOs as soon as they were old enough. There are ten years between them and LEGOs are the common ground they need to spend time playing together.
Did I mention that the oldest is 20 and still plays with LEGOs?
